Jay Ferry, PA- Successfully brokered several land parcels totaling over
$10M.
In 2009, I was appointed to turn around a troubled asset of 385
apartments.
In 2007, I was a key speaker as a US delegate at an international
conference in Barcelona Spain which was translated into four languages.
Realty Central, Partner Opened a full service agency for sales, leasing and
property management of 150 homes. Created a staff of fourteen commissioned
agents. Weichert Realty, VP Oversaw commercial division of management,
leasing and sales. Increased sales volume from $70M to over $100M.
2002-2004 Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Property Manager Managed
an on-campus 80,000 SF medical office building. Prepared/tracked budget,
redesigned lobby and improved operations and parking procedures.
1999-2002 Paramount RE Services, Palm Beach, Portfolio Manager
Managed daily operations of eight medical office buildings totaling over
400,000SF. Prepared budget and explained variances for each asset,
supervised staff of 12, refined daily operations.
1998-1999 Daytona Apartments, Regional Manager Supervised three properties
totaling 610 units. Increased occupancy by replacing inferior staff and
creating new marketing programs. Improved property curb appeal and brought
properties up to current ADA standards and local codes.
1997-1998 Bethune-Cookman College, Daytona Beach
Assistant Woman's Basketball Coach for NCAA Division I program.
Appointed as the first non-minority coach in the history of this
institution. Outstanding leadership and team building experience. I
accepted this position due to a family bereavement period.
1996-1997 Ocean Gallery, St. Augustine, Fl. General Manager Full
responsibility for a 438 unit luxury oceanfront complex consisting of four
HOA'S and a master HOA.
Half of the units were in a rental pool which was operated similarly to a
hotel with check in desk, porters, etc. Increased profits by designing new
marketing programs and improving staff capabilities.
1992-1996 California Federal Tower, Fort Lauderdale, General Manager
On-site manager for 15 story 270,000 SF "Class A" office tower with
attached seven story parking garage. Effectively coordinated anchor tenant
move out and new 100,000SF tenant move in. Oversaw leasehold improvements,
contract administration, and increased occupancy to its highest level ever.
Implemented successful capital improvements, energy savings programs.
Designed new parking procedures which significantly raised garage revenue.
1985-1992 Firstate Tower, Orlando, General Manager
Directed property management operations for a 20 story 250,000 SF "Class A"
office tower and six story garage. Utilized solid negotiating, marketing,
and closing skills, turned property vacancy around to achieve highest
occupancy in the downtown market. Installed sprinkler system while tenants
occupied space, encapsulated ACM during project. Built a 10,000 SF foot
health and athletic club in unused space. Increased gross leasable area.
Upgraded garage/parking operations. Added energy savings programs as well
as implementing new security procedures. Completely remodeled lobby and
installed ADA requirements.
1984-85 Loeb Partners Trust, Daytona Beach, Director of Property Management
Overall management responsibilities for a mixed portfolio of over 2 Million
SF of retail including a mall, industrial buildings and state office
buildings. Three property managers reported to me as well as a staff of
over 50 employees.
1981-1984 Colonial Realty, New Britain Ct. Regional Manager Supervised
management of 26 residential communities totaling 4,104 units. Increased
occupancy and rent collections by implementing solid leadership skills.
Oversaw production of 26 managers and several hundred employees.
