I am a dual citizen of Canada and the US with a home in Ontario and Utah. I am prepared to
relocate myself for the right job opportunity.
In your search you may need an innovative Senior International Executive with a record of
cutting costs while stimulating impressive growth through creative strategies and I believe my
credentials may fit your criteria.
As much as my background is in software and consumer products I also have significant non
profit experience as the Past Vice Chair and Director of the Canada Safety Council, Director of
the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as well as President and Director of many industry
associations over my career. I have also worked for the Safe American Foundation in Atlanta
helping with fund raising.
By way of further introduction, I have a VP and GM level track record of success with industry
leaders including Borden, Evenflo Juvenile Products, Cosco (Juvenile and Home Products
divisions) and Liberty Safe and Security Products. An adept negotiator, I have consistently
formed strategic partnerships through licensing agreements with such Blue Chip companies as:
Eddie Bauer, Disney, NASCAR, and Harley Davidson as well as suppliers and third party
partners. My varied industry experience includes manufacturing, consumer products both
durable and non durable goods, and packaged consumer goods through most channels of
distribution.
Most recently, I embarked on my own with a Consulting application where my team supplies
first and second stage companies with strategy to get them to the profitability stage. The last
three years I have worked with E-Healthcare Systems developing an Open Source SaaS model
Cloud computing software program for an electronic medical records application targeting long
term care.
At Liberty Safe and Security Products, I developed and executed a strategic plan, which included
sales and marketing components with time lines for manufacturing and other functional support.
I established new focus and procedures for product development and forecasting. Additionally, I
diversified the product offering, expanding into a new market channel.
Among my key accomplishments, I brought Cosco into a new product category, generating $50
million in sales and becoming the second largest company in the product category. Within 2
years, Cosco held a 15% market share and penetrated all price points. In addition to adding to
the bottom line by developing and implementing successful marketing plans, my record includes
improving operations and plant efficiencies. I turned around Cosco’s failing advertising and
creative departments, leading them to win 5 awards for packaging, ads, and catalogs.
I am enclosing my BIO and a resume for your review and invite you to view my personal web
site at www.pbassociates.biz
I would be interested in talking with you further to discuss how my skills could contribute to
your growth and profitability. I look forward to visiting with you.
Sincerely,
Paul Berney
