I have been an Registered Nurse for almost 5 years, was an Licensed Practical
Nurse for 10 years prior, and started my health care career as a Certified Nursing
Assistant 20 years ago.
While I was working in home health as an RN, I established RN student clinicals
with Milwaukee Area Technical College and enjoyed taking the students on visits
for their clinicals. I have great assessment and problem solving skills and a
warm, professional bedside manner. I was very sucessful with case managing
my home health patients.
As the RN, Education and Training Director at Sunrise Care Center, I took the
education department and developed it into a well run machine by bringing the
facility into compliance with mandatory and plan of correction inservicing. I also
managed part of employee health and participated in hiring nursing staff and
organizing and maintaining clinical central supply. During my short time there we
reduced the facilities state citations greatly.
As an LPN I practiced in occupational medicine, outpatient clinic (ortho, surgery,
and family practice), dialysis, long term care, and rehabilitation. I also enjoyed an
internship as a circulating nurse at St. Josephs Hospital, Milwaukee.
