Responsibilities included reviewing contractor written safety and health
programs to ensure compliance with regulations for ISNetworld customers.
11/2005 - 4/2009: Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceutical, Fort Worth, Texas
Responsibilities included maintaining compliance with all state, local and
federal regulations. This included compliance with TCEQ and EPA
regulations. As a pharmaceutical manufacturer of Mucinex we were a large
quantity generator of hazardous waste. Started up and implemented new
company safety committee and safety behavioral program. Wrote and
implemented new emergency evacuation program and maintained all safety
programs to be site specific. Conducted safety inspections, contractor
training, all OSHA and EPA required training, and accident investigations
including closure with corrective actions. Training included Respiratory
Protection classroom and fit testing, Lockout/Tagout, Blood Borne
Pathogens, Resource Conservation Recovery Act, and Hearing Conservation.
Worked directly with Workers Compensation carrier to reduce work related
illnesses and injuries.

Responsibilities included updating and writing safety programs to be site
specific for the Arlington campus. Wrote computer based training programs
for employees and university students. Ensured compliance with Local, State
and Federal Regulations. Coordinated and conducted training which included
Hazard Communication, NEO, NIOSH-Defensive Driving and 15-Passenger Van
training for students and employees. Wrote and implemented the Automated
External Defibrillator Program to comply with American Heart Association.
Conducted Ergonomic Evaluations and made recommendations for employee
workstations. Wrote and implemented the Departmental Safety Liaison
Handbook and program which included 275 employees campus wide. As the
Safety Specialist I worked with all contractors coming on site to do
renovations and new projects.

Responsibilities included New Hire Orientation, Training, Safety Audits,
Accident Investigations and follow-ups. Ensure compliance with State,
Federal and Local Regulations. Generated all required reports for the Nibco
Corporate office in regards to Environmental Health & Safety, Quality and
Purchasing departments. The Quality Inspectors and the Maintenance
departments reported directly to me.
