Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) November 2008 to Present - Safety Manager
. Lead the development of high performing team - staff of 15 safety
professionals, including one manager.
. Lead the management of a public safety outreach program designed to
educate contractors and the public about working and living safely
around power lines.
. Lead the management of a peer-to-peer safety observation process that
engages 400 bargaining unit employees.
. Lead the management of an injury prevention process based on safety
risk perception, identification, prioritization and mitigation.
. Participated in the development and implementation of a safe driving
program, which contributed to a 40% reduction in responsible vehicle
accidents.
. Manage a multi-faceted safety communication process that reaches
approximately 6000 employees on a weekly basis with messaging designed

developments, etc.)

Managed oversight of job order contracting program, valued at over twelve
million dollars, consisting of infrastructure development and demolition

Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) 2005 to 2006 - Assistant to the President
Worked closely with the City of Chicago and sister agencies on projects of
common interest to set priorities and supervise CTA resources needed to
accomplish common goals.
Ensured that CTA's position was represented by being a liaison for the CTA
with key external constituencies.
Assisted with the oversight of System Safety administration and goal
development in line with organizational objectives.
Facilitated efficient completion of various initiatives by working with key
personnel and helping to develop and implement effective strategies.
Chicago Transit Authority 2001 to 2005 - Safety Manager
Led development of safety professionals and an administrative assistant and
ensured compliance with State Safety Oversight's System Safety Program
Plan.
Educated facility injury/illness recordkeepers through an annual workshop
to ensure accurate maintenance and effective usage of Occupational Safety
and Health Administration logs.
Participated as an active member on various safety committees where I was
instrumental in developing a non-traditional safety recognition program

The Museum of Science and Industry 1995 to 2001 - Manager of Safety and
Health
Developed, implemented and maintained a Museum-wide safety inspection
program.
Facilitated the acquisition and maintenance of employee knowledge and
skills needed to perform jobs safely, such as Ergonomics, Bloodborne
Pathogens and Lockout/Tagout.
Managed a $300,000 budget designed to support specific safety and
environmental initiatives, including the identification and removal of
hazardous materials.
Tailored safety programs to fit the Museum environment in accordance with
applicable standards, codes and best management practices.
Managed the environmental program and evaluated and reported corresponding
statistics and trends.
The Quaker Oats Company 1991 to 1995 - Supervisor - Safety and Health
Assisted with the integration of a corporate-wide health, safety, and
environmental regulatory compliance process.
Evaluated plant loss prevention reports for regulatory compliance issues,
and made recommendations as appropriate.
Mobil Chemical Company 1988 to 1991 - Loss Prevention Supervisor
Re-certified and then maintained the Frankfort, Illinois plant's Star
status in OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program, and played a key role in the
re-certification of the Jacksonville, Illinois facilities.
Conducted all plant industrial hygiene sampling, and recommended
engineering and administrative controls.
Managed the security program and a staff of security officers and
established various security procedures to minimize loss.
Industrial Commission of Ohio 1987 to 1988 - Industrial Hygienist/Engineer
Conducted industrial hygiene sampling and ventilation system evaluations in
northern and central Ohio manufacturing facilities and office buildings,
evaluated results, and recommended corrective measures.
