Resume:

BARBARA J. PACEY

*** ******** ****

NICHOLASVILLE, KY 40356

OBJECTIVE: I am seeking a position in which I could utilize my broad range of experience, not only in

Medical field, but also in all other areas as you will realize as you read my resume.

QUALIFICATIONS;

I have 20+ years of experience in office, management, medical and human resources.

My experience includes but is not limited to: typing 120 wpm, all computer programs

Relating to efficient office tasking, management, payroll, accounting, etc.

EDUCATION:

1965-1968 Woodford Co. High School

1972-1974 AMRA - State Boards at University Of Kentucky

1975-1976 Business Management - Kentucky State University

EMPLOYMENT:

2001-2009 Office Manager/Medical Assistant, Deerfield Family Practice

During my tenure with Deerfield Family Practice my

Responsibilities as Office Manager included overseeing all

Daily functions of the office including all coding,

Billing, scheduling, credentialing, chart review and prep, etc.

I was responsible for payroll, employee reviews, quarterly taxes,

A/R, A/P, end of day balance, all monthly, quarterly and year end

reports as well as preparation of end of year P&L statements. Assured

books balanced at COB and made deposits daily.

2000-2001 Office Manager, Kentucky Internal Medicine Group

During my short tenure with KIMC, I managed 24

Employees and 7 physicians. My responsibilities included assuring

All positions were covered daily, payroll, taxes, hiring of new

Employees, assigning benefits, overseeing monthly training programs,

Assuring each physician was assigned a nurse, receptionist and

Discharge planner. I also performed audits of charts to assure each

Physician was in compliance and also all coding was performed to

Produce maximum re-imbursement from insurances and government

Agencies. It was my responsibility to assure the daily functions of the

Entire office and medical functions ran at top performance. I was

responsible for tracking each physicians workload (i.e.,

breakdown of physician/income ratio) A/R, A/P, benefit assignment for

all employees. I was also responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly

and year end P&L statements. I had to assure all monies were

accounted for and balanced at COB and prepare all deposits and assure

they were in the bank in a timely manner.

1990-2000 Owner/Operator, Pacey’s Restaurant

Having moved from the Medical Field to owning my own business

Was quite an experience, one of which I think really gave me insight

Into what actually makes a business work. I was Owner/Manager, cook

Waitress, bookkeeper, dishwasher, plumber and the list goes on. This

Is the job that actually taught me that being the “#1” in charge is not

Always a good thing! I had a very good business (even though the

Hours were long and tough) when I decided to go back into the fields

That I knew best. I did learn a very important Human Resource

Objective from this business, every position is important and if one

Is not fulfilling their obligations, it effects all other positions.

And infection control. I worked with upper Management which

Included scheduling meetings, arranging flights and assuring lodging

Would be available upon arrival. Because my duties at ESH were

So varied, I found this to be a very exciting job.

In closing I would like to that I could bring a variety of skills to any position I apply for and would enjoy the

challenge. I feel my broad range of knowledge, from medical to office would be an asset to any position. I
