I nternment Facility Hospital Operation Room Security for 3,000 detainees and Guard
Force Shift Leader for 25 US personnel. Theater In terment Facility Shift Leader for over
700 detainees and Special Housing Unit Supervisor for over 30 detainees. In charge of
t he Vehicle and Personnel Ent ry Control Point and compound holding cell. During my
deployment I was responsible for operation and maintenance of highly visible major
weapons systems. Periodically scheduled maintenance to ensure operational readiness
posture for these weapons systems. Developed and managed programs to improve the
effectiveness of the department and overall operation of the organization. Established and
developed standard operating procedures and security programs for the hospital facility and
an additional detainee compound. Facilitated completion of bio-metric identification for
detainees and updated the existing database as required. Identified and reported
derogatory behavior of detainees to the appropriate agencies. Trained US personnel daily
i n the use of non-lethal weapons systems and combatant t raining. Assisted doctors in the
operating room with movement and restraints of detainees and additional duties upon
request. Appointed Company Level Unit Movement Officer. Responsible for the movement
of Company assets and soldier personal property from CONUS to OCONUS deployment
location and return to assigned US installation. Additional responsibilities included the
clearing of the Unit's Property Book Equipment from various CENTCOM agencies.
