NFL Executive Summary

This is a fictitious work example created in order to demonstrate the technical data mining, web

analytics, presentation, and creative skills of Ron Snyder. Due to non-compete language in former

employment contract, the NFL website was selected for the following reasons:

• The business model closely parallels the NFL site.

• The architecture of the website is similar.

• The number of executive reports is very close.

Each quarter an Executive report for each NFL team is created providing Return on Investment (ROI)

metrics for all team specific assets accessed (advertising, marketing campaigns, and web traffic

usage).

Welcome to the 2009 2nd Quarter NFL Executive Summary for the Green Bay Packers. This 2

page dashboard outlines the assets and value to the Green Bay Packers for participating in the NFL website.

The Packers saw INCREASED website visitors metric of 11% over the previous quarter and an INCREASE

of 49% over the prior quarter from a year ago, indicating a positive growth in website traffic to the NFL.com

website. Similarly, the Unique Visitors metric saw a minimal DECREASE of 1% over the 1st quarter of

2009, yet a substantial INCREASE of 34% over the 2008 2nd quarter.

In summary, we are excited to continue working with the Green Bay Packer organization to provide

optimum NFL football coverage via NFL.com and exposure for the Green Bay Packers. Our suggestions

include providing timely advertising banner media, and submitting additional media content for all media

sections (blog, news, NFL network, etc.).

Sincerely,

NFL Marketing Team

yields Content Management relational fields: Title=Barnett, Harris leave practice field with injuries; Category=training camp; Published Date=April 29,2009

(3) Consolidation of 13+ weekly electronic Newsletter campaigns, aggregating measureable metrics, extracting record identifiers

from URLs and querying Content Management (SQL 2005) to data mining additional knowledge;

(4) Utilizing BI (Business Intelligence) taxonomy tools to identify and present team related search terms, both from internal and

external search engine queries submitted during the 2009 2nd quarter, providing potential SEO & SEM exposure should the

Packers chose to pursue.
