Work Experience
Nofo Retail (Present)
Designed women's clothing and purse lines using Adobe Illustrator. Drafted
the patterns and sewed the final products.
Baltz Pens (2010)
Created original product design for fine writing instruments. Produced
technical drawings and developed product specifications used for
prototyping and manufacturing.
Dipsy- Do (2010)
Developed the initial prototype and produced the test market samples for
fashion swimwear hair accessories.
Laut Design Incorporated (2009)
Responsible for building soft goods prototypes from a concept design.
Selected appropriate methods of product construction for cutting edge
industrial materials. Produced prototypes for orthopedic products, and
concealable body armor. The second iteration prototype became the basis
for a production sample to manufacture 10,000 units of a back brace with
infrared heating elements.
NCSU Textile Products for People with Disabilities (2009)
This organization was established to help the disabled. Responsible for
organizing news and events for disabled people in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Worked with the Assistant Dean for Information Technology and created the
organization's website using Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
Awards & Accomplishments
Cotton Incorporated's 10th Anniversary International Fashion Show in
Beijing, China (2007)
Created an original design that was selected by representatives of Cotton
Incorporated to be featured at the Winter 2007 International Fashion Show.
Was responsible for every phase of garment production, including creating
the fabric pattern utilizing Pointcarre, knitting the design into fabric
using an electronic jacquard machine, and sewing the final garment. The
final garment, a women's dress, was showcased at the Beijing International
Fashion Show
1st Place Award- North Carolina State Fair, Premium Clothing Competition
(2003)
Redesigned an existing formal gown pattern and created an original garment
for entry in competition.
