Responsibilities:

• Promotion of high margin merchandise in order to meet target margin forecasts.

Constant replenishment of low inventory turnover items, and minimization of

inventory shrinkage. These three factors had to be juggled on a daily basis and

kept at desired levels in order for the bonus payments to accrue for management.

• Responsible for merchandising of the store. The store operates without any

planogram specifications; therefore it is up to management to independently

merchandise the store, paying attention to sales driving items.

• Cash responsibilities. Was in charge for all cash related tasks during shift,

including: keeping track of safe funds, registers, all checks + credit card

transactions etc. Additionally, was in charge for reviewing and filing paperwork at

the end of the month: all work orders, receipts, invoices, cash-out summaries,

bank deposit slips etc.

• Scheduling: assistant managers also had a responsibility of scheduling and

maintaining hours to ensure optimal use in accordance with budgeted hours -

weekly.

• Administrative tasks included ensuring orders and delivery deadlines were met.

Ordering merchandise in accordance with sales. Inventory management, which

consisted of cycle counts and also a yearly inventory.
