Professional Experience

Maintenance Supervisor (August 1999 - November 2010) - Chrysler -

5555 30th Avenue, Kenosha Wisconsin. Automobile engine manufacturer.

Responsibilities

Currently supervising second shift maintenance team in a high paced

machining environment.

Incorporate Fiat's World Class Manufacturing lean model that

emphasizes cost deployment methods to target and eliminate waste.

Manage, lead, and coordinate approximately 20 skilled union

maintenance personnel within a dual union environment in order to

maintain a $200 million manufacturing facility.

Troubleshoot and supply technical assistance when needed to repair

electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control issues during

production and implement, develop, and schedule proactive maintenance

activities that target the improvement of overall equipment

effectiveness using team based TPM methods.

Procurement and scheduling of resources needed for equipment

maintenance and improvement projects.

Achieved a stores cost reduction of $50,000 in 2008 through the

implementation of non productive material inventory process that

consolidated and managed equipment replacement part inventories across

the entire plant through the use of a simple access database.

Automated data collection for the TPM team by implementing a process

that captured downtime at the machine which in turn eliminated

redundant data handling and increased data accuracy. The process was

later implemented across the entire 3.5L facility to support small

group activities with their continuous improvement efforts.

Project Engineer (August 1997 - July 1999) - Molding Automation Concepts -

Woodstock, IL. Manufacturer of custom industrial equipment.

Responsibilities:

Facilitated the organizations transition to a 3D solid modeling

software, Pro/Engineer, by carrying the work load as engineers were

trained with new software.

Designed and detailed custom industrial equipment along with

standardizing and documenting existing product lines.

Automated complex assembly modeling using Pro/E's Pro-Program in order

to drive assembly intent through parameters in turn reducing overall

engineering design time. Example: The design time for a custom box

fill system went from two weeks to two days.

Machine Builder (August 1994- May 97) - Anglo American - Waukegan, IL.

Manufacturer of custom automated assembly equipment for the medical and

automotive industries.

Responsibilities:

Equipment assembly, troubleshooting, component

manufacturing/machining, and PLC programming of custom automated

assembly equipment.

Occasionally assisted in the design and detailing of equipment as

needed using AutoCAD.

Test Technician (1990-92) - MGA Corporation - Burlington, WI. Independent

vehicle crash test facility and proving grounds.

Responsibilities:

Maintain computer based data collection equipment including setup and

calibration of test instrumentation.

Developed and implemented vehicle brake testing software application

that conformed to National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration

(NHTSA) standards. The process was automated through the use of an

onboard computer based data collection system that reduced overall

test time from four weeks down to one week. The software application

that was developed was still being used for vehicle testing in 2003.
