5555 30th Avenue, Kenosha Wisconsin. Automobile engine manufacturer.
Responsibilities
Currently supervising second shift maintenance team in a high paced
machining environment.
Incorporate Fiat's World Class Manufacturing lean model that
emphasizes cost deployment methods to target and eliminate waste.
Manage, lead, and coordinate approximately 20 skilled union
maintenance personnel within a dual union environment in order to
maintain a $200 million manufacturing facility.
Troubleshoot and supply technical assistance when needed to repair
electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control issues during
production and implement, develop, and schedule proactive maintenance
activities that target the improvement of overall equipment
effectiveness using team based TPM methods.
Procurement and scheduling of resources needed for equipment
maintenance and improvement projects.
Achieved a stores cost reduction of $50,000 in 2008 through the
implementation of non productive material inventory process that
consolidated and managed equipment replacement part inventories across
the entire plant through the use of a simple access database.
Automated data collection for the TPM team by implementing a process
that captured downtime at the machine which in turn eliminated
redundant data handling and increased data accuracy. The process was
later implemented across the entire 3.5L facility to support small
group activities with their continuous improvement efforts.

Project Engineer (August 1997 - July 1999) - Molding Automation Concepts -
Woodstock, IL. Manufacturer of custom industrial equipment.
Responsibilities:
Facilitated the organizations transition to a 3D solid modeling
software, Pro/Engineer, by carrying the work load as engineers were
trained with new software.
Designed and detailed custom industrial equipment along with
standardizing and documenting existing product lines.
Automated complex assembly modeling using Pro/E's Pro-Program in order
to drive assembly intent through parameters in turn reducing overall
engineering design time. Example: The design time for a custom box
fill system went from two weeks to two days.
Machine Builder (August 1994- May 97) - Anglo American - Waukegan, IL.
Manufacturer of custom automated assembly equipment for the medical and
automotive industries.
Responsibilities:
Equipment assembly, troubleshooting, component
manufacturing/machining, and PLC programming of custom automated
assembly equipment.
Occasionally assisted in the design and detailing of equipment as
needed using AutoCAD.
Test Technician (1990-92) - MGA Corporation - Burlington, WI. Independent
vehicle crash test facility and proving grounds.
Responsibilities:
Maintain computer based data collection equipment including setup and
calibration of test instrumentation.
Developed and implemented vehicle brake testing software application
that conformed to National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration
(NHTSA) standards. The process was automated through the use of an
onboard computer based data collection system that reduced overall
test time from four weeks down to one week. The software application
that was developed was still being used for vehicle testing in 2003.
