Finance Manager

Currently the global finance lead for 3-year global strategic restructuring and business optimization

initiatives within the Global Shared Services organization. I defined the programs’ key financial metrics to

improve EBITA margins. I defined and implemented procedures to consistently calculate and report on

savings, on-going costs and exceptional items. I manage financial reporting for €160 mln net savings and

€240 mln exceptional expense.

Create budgets, forecasts and 3-year plan for core global programs and implement global syndicated

savings tracking against all forecasts.

Financial Analyst

I reviewed and consolidated two Divisional monthly financial reporting within the North American Shared

Services organization. I instituted processes to effectively complete all Bureau of Economic Analysis and

US Census reporting. Upon the completion of $333M acquisition, I took the lead for the Certified

Contractor Registration, TPINS and credit bureau information in order to proceed with governmental

contracts.

• Analyze financial and statistical data and provide guidance on IFRS accounting procedures.

Cost Accountant

Building on my inventory control background, I re-designed the cycle count procedures within the Chicago

warehouses and designed an annual inventory procedure within the Chicago manufacturing and

distribution facilities.

Inventory Accounting Analyst

I led a staff of 40 colleagues in an $800M annual inventory across 395 branches and 10 DC's resulting in

a 1% write-down, the lowest in over 10 years. I was responsible for $250M freight expense and changed

the freight capitalization policy to reflect the current mission of the organization, which yielded $30M

annual tax benefit. I implemented an accrual management policy to accurately reflect freight expenses on

a monthly basis. Over-accruals were reduced from $+8M monthly to $+100K monthly.

• Instituted proper accounting for export freight costs including brokerage and tariff charges for current

business model.

• Designed business requirements needed to maintain integrity of accounts during the SAP

implementation of FI/CO modules.

Provided SOX guidance for Accounting and Operational departments.

• Responsible for the developmental skills of Financial Development Program participants in their semi-

annual rotation within the department.
