SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
[pic]
V Aided in Quality Assurance as Picture Archiving and Communications
System (PACS) superuser. Results: Provided first-line support to
users at two hospitals; performed image archive retrieval,
transferred images to the correct electronic medical record;
corrected database inconsistencies.
V Trained new technologists for multiple imaging venues. Results:
Saved a single facility an estimated $16K in training fees;
recognized at the university level for relating classroom theory to
clinical experiences.
V Disseminated the most up-to-date information on procedures to
multiple sites. Results: Improved image quality and patient
throughput; reduced repeat radiation exposure to patients.
V Devised/Systematized a log to track incoming and outgoing calls,
staff availability and organize which positions had been covered for
a Healthcare Staffing Agency. Results: Improved process efficiency
and communication; minimized errors for all stakeholders; improved
patient/client coverage.
V Supervised a staff of 5/Coordinated on-call staff for seven venues.
Results: Acted as liaison between doctors and technologists;
communicated changes and concerns between weekend and weekday staff
through meeting and weekly reports.
V Streamlined staffing schedules to reflect customer load. Results:
Corrected budget concerns of overstaffing with statistical approach;
provided adequate staffing during the record busiest weekend without
having to call in on-call staff.
V Completed an advanced certification which allowed me to perform
exams that previously required on-call staff. Results: Saved an
estimated $10K annually; reduced weekend callback by 100%.
V Evaluated technologists at 90 day and yearly intervals/Advised a
contract facility on how to set goals for employees and follow
through to achievement. Results: Saved the facility an estimated
$2K for management training expenses.
V Organized the set-up of a new outpatient facility/Planned room
layout based on workflow to increase throughput. Results:
Restricted set-up time to one day and achieved no downtime during
transition to the new facility.
V Assessed patient mood/Determined xray views needed by Radiologist
and Surgeon. Result: Calmed patient fears and obtained 2 xray views
perpendicular to each other at the fracture site without ever moving
the bones involved in the fracture.
V Identified instances of non-essential employee access to a
restricted area. Result: Implemented simple "fix" to the problem;
restricted access to 'cleared' personnel; reduced hospital liability
and chances of serious adverse incidents.
V Developed an ordering sheet for recurring supply needs. Result:
Decreased restocking time.
V Created a method to prepare for the following day's exams. Results:
Improved information provided to the doctors; increased service to
the patients.
V Developed/Implemented a system and level of communication between
the imaging department and emergency room staff. Results: Achieved
a strict 15-minute timeline for critical patients arriving at the
hospital with stroke symptoms; provided the needed time frame for
accreditation with national credentialing bodies; improved patient
care for better post-stroke results.
V Introduced an ergonomically efficient way of working. Results:
Decreased on-the-job injuries; provided a safer environment for
employees and customers
V Wrote/Implemented a curriculum for sub-specialty training in
magnetic resonance imaging. Results: Synthesized data from several
sources; applied logic to reduce data to a single education plan;
expressed complex technical information in simplified PowerPoint
presentations; achieved a 75% pass rate in students accepted to the
first year of the program.
V Set a goal to have a 90% pass rate for students eligible to take the
national board exam that normally has a 75% first time pass rate.
Result: Exceeded the goal in the first year with a 100% pass rate
V Founded a new business/Completed all professional and legal
paperwork. Results: Accurately filed certification with the state,
monitored budgets, and filed taxes all while attending high school.
V Recommended for leadership abilities, scholastic competence and
community involvement in Scholarship Competition. Results: Won a
scholarship, 1 of only 20 provided, to work overseas and represent
our country as a young ambassador of the USA.
V Volunteered 1K+ hours in a hospital setting. Results: Achieved the
Gold Congressional Award; completed all four award-categories within
a year's time; set and achieved goals in the areas of personal
