When it began, it grew into a thriving business,
generating millions of dollars in sales. Made it into the top
independently owned West Coast retail store dedicated to paper arts,
scrapbooking and card making.
. Excellent customer service skills: placed special emphasis on
customer relations, resulting in repeated business and widespread word-
of-mouth advertising, giving special attention by listening to
client's needs, and improving service, helped us to achieved great
success throughout community.
. Recruited, and trained 15+ sales associates. Evaluated staffing

first store to come up with the idea). This idea spread to other
stores and grew within the industry.
. Business management: Managed the ordering, receiving, and follow up
with damages and outstanding credits with manufacturers. Maintained
store and displays in a neat and attractive appearance, providing
customers with a pleasant shopping experience. Directed and motivated
employees to achieve their personal sales goals weekly. Closed the
monthly sales and prepared sales taxes for the Board of Equalization.
Stayed informed of current trends, by attending trade shows to look
for and purchase new products.
. Recognitions and Awards: The store was profiled in the national
industry magazines (CNA and the Scrapbook Retailer), the store was
also voted the winner in the Best Scrapbook Store shopping category of
2007 Myfoxla's HOT LIST.
. Volunteer Experience: Event planner: one of our big accomplishments
was to raise money for Pink Link, a non-profit organization that
provides online support for people dealing with breast cancer and
breast cancer survivors. Brought together 84 women to scrapbook for 24
hours at Westfield Promenade, and raised $39,000 for this amazing
cause.
