Designed and developed a manufacturing system for home column fabrication. This system

originated from UML in MS Visio and was produced with Visual Studio.NET and AJAX. The

end result was a website to that enabled every sector of plant management to monitor

inventories, material usage, production and downtime in real time via a web browser. Several

additional application where written to manage synchronization and tasks of six robots and

RFID readers via TCP/IP protocols and a SQL Server 2000 database.

Designed and developed 3 tier .NET application used in DNA storage and retrieval process for

Life Sciences industry. The project consisted of 3 web services, 2 of which where public the 3rd

acting as the DataLayer to an Oracle and or SQL 2000 database. Developed all stored

procedures and triggers for each respective database. Also created a VB.Net application to

retrieve client requests from the web services and communicate those to an adept robot via

TCP/IP. Created unique protocol structure for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and robot

controller communications. Included in this application was Crystal reporting capabilities that

allowed an operator to track and audit DNA locations within the system.

Created company intranet to manage employees in and out of the office and publish that

information to the Internet via XML for in the field managers. Also created web based cost

process crystal reports that integrated into the time management section of the intranet. This

allowed managers to view up to the minute cost associated with any project in motion.

Created Serial driver with vb.net to interface with legacy storage module. Adding a VB.Net

application that was touch screen ready to catalog and store parts locations within the storage

module. Database used was Access 2000. Also added several crystal reports to the GUI to

allow inventory control to manage and restock the module(s).

What is an Automation Specialist? – An automation specialist is a different breed of developer

that integrates software technology with vision inspection and robotic handling of material for

any number of industries from pharmaceutical to food packaging to automotive parts and

production lines. Having a strong understanding of low level graphics functions, photography

lighting, electrical wiring logic, various modes of device communication and a systems design

life cycle. Combining all of these complex and intricate modules to produce an end user

application that demands down time be no greater that 1% for three years (the 1% being for

regularly scheduled maintenance standard). Additionally, an automation specialist must be able

to effectively identify a manufacturing process, convey this understanding to the client and be

able identify target areas of the process for modification.

Senior FileNet Web Developer

Designed and developed web integration for the American Financial Group intranet Specialty

Claims division. The application allowed members of the specialty claims group to search

FileNet indexed documents and view them in a custom enterprise viewer. The enterprise viewer

allows change of annotations based on security clearance. The viewer gives the user the ability

to view annotations and move to pages with specific annotations of interest without having to

load any unnecessary pages limiting the load network traffic produced by the idmObjects.

Designed and developed a replacement object for the FileNet remote print fax object with a

COM control that communicates via SOAP to an IIS web service. This allowed true remote

printing from the corporate intranet with no installation of any client applications.

Designed and developed a search and retrieval web based application which gives the user the

ability to search FileNet via an Oracle database on predefined fields and view the results. Once

results are returned the users can perform one of several functions that are made available to

them based on their security clearance.

The above sited projects included the use and integration of: MAPI, POP, SMTP, Lotus Notes,

Microsoft Outlook, FileNet IDM objects, FileNet IDM viewer, ASP, JavaScript, HTML, XML,

customer could add proprietary content specific to not only their company but also individual

Designed and developed the Auto Indexer add on product for the Knowledge Channel Manager.

submitted to the Verity Search engine for indexing, which in turn would allow any user to search

on that information via a search index that resided in memory.
