Project/Client: Global Chemical Company - (Business Continuity & Disaster
Recovery)
Project management, process and architecture analysis services provided to
Global Operations (EITS) organization. Scope is the DRP for the entire
EITS organization.
Project/Client: Global Chemical Company - (Incident Management and SPOF
Project)
Project management, process and architecture analysis services provided to
Global Operations (EITS) organization. Responsible for the Incident
Management project. Essentially, this project entails an in-depth
architecture analysis, system vulnerability analysis and the development of
incident response procedures. Areas of analysis include GPN and ERP
networks, WAN and internet networks, IBM LPAR systems, ERP SAN Solution,
and Data Center facility. Also involved in other efforts in disaster
recovery test planning and execution, and monitoring ongoing efforts of
other DR projects.
Project/Client: National Power Company - (IT Director)
Provided staff augmentation as IT Director. Responsible for managing day-
to-day operations, several projects and key initiatives. Oversaw and
managed the relocation of the corporate datacenter, frame relay
consolidation and management, move of telecom activities to Blair Park, and
various divestiture activities. A critical project was the relocation of
the corporate datacenter. The datacenter including the extensive WAN
infrastructure and all was up and running in full production within our
planned 12-hour window. During the planning and restructuring phase of the
datacenter relocation, we also prepared for DR recovery of the critical
systems. A few critical systems did actually have component failures and
the DR strategy was executed flawlessly and within the planned outage.
An emergency project was initiated to handle performance and transaction
issues with a three mission-critical DB servers. A combination of factors
led to sporadic problems affecting several applications. Using analysis
and debugging tools and methods, the problem was quickly determined and a
solution charted. Numerous databases were migrated and upgraded to a new
server platform and SQL2000. Maintenance plans were also updated and
coordinated with the backup strategy. Long-term high-availability DB
system with SQL Server Enterprise Edition using transaction log shipping
was planned as a second phase.
Project/Client: Regional Bank - (Metastorm BPM e-Work Project)

projects including ERP Disaster Recovery, WINTEL Disaster Recovery, ERP DR
Network at Remote Data Facility, and Home Office Recovery. Extensive
coordination and interaction with the ERP, Competency Center, SAP R/3
basis, and EITS organizations.
ERP and WINTEL projects were a comprehensive disaster recovery analysis and
plan development. Disaster Recovery planning included application
architecture decomposition and documentation, recovery procedures (SOPs),
host recovery mappings. Notable ERP applications included were SAP R/3,
Manugistics, Dazel OMS, IBM MQSeries, Control-M. Notable technologies
included IBM AIX Hosts (P680s with HACMP), EMC SAN Storage (Symmetrix with
SRDF), EMC Backup Solutions (EDM), BEA Weblogic J2EE Clusters, and Oracle8i
database systems. The WINTEL project also included the development of the
