I have deployed solutions that improve financial stability, operational
efficiency, service quality and productivity for global manufacturers of
innovative technology products. I consistently enhanced company security by
providing accurate reports, preparing/analyzing forecasting models, and
developing profitable solutions to business challenges.
By establishing internal controls and incorporating new/upgraded
technologies, I ensured operational and financial goals were met. My key
skills include...
o Directing financial strategies to increase efficiencies and
profitability
o Instituting stringent internal processes/procedures to ensure fiscal
controls
o Ensuring all finance and accounting practices meet GAAP and SOX
compliance requirements
o Building, training and mentoring highly skilled teams
Peers describe me as organized, trustworthy, and a resourceful leader who
gets the job done at every level with tenacity and excellence. I earned my
BS in Business Administration from Regis University, have passed the CPA
exam, and have taken numerous leadership, accounting, supply chain and
controller courses throughout my career.
Selected Accomplishments
Uncovered overlooked revenue. Gambros SAP rebate and distributor revenue
functionality system was inaccurate making it difficult to accurately
determine company's financial status. Created excel worksheet and
forecasting report to track revenue adjustments/distribution fees with
inventory reports, discovering $500K in unreported revenue.
Improved world-wide flow of financial information. Tasked to convert
Medtronic Navigations ERP process to SAP 4.7. Collaborated with cross-
functional teams, processing test scripts and updating mapping into new ERP
system. Ensured seamless transition and accurate financial data posting to
GL.
Converted financials of new acquisition. Challenged to incorporate
financials of Medtronic Navigation's new acquisition. Performed on-site
analysis of financials and inventory. Migrated to corporate-shared service,
eliminating duplication of locations. Expanded existing reporting as "new
plant" to include the new purchase for first close.
Implemented internal controls to ensure SOX compliance. Medtronic
Navigation's Israeli plant needed to resolve several internal audit
problems. Restructured employee responsibilities/procedures, ensuring
appropriate checks and balances. Developed system to simulate standard
costing with manual journal entries, successfully closing audit.
Facilitated forecasting process to support business decision-making.
Medtronic Navigation's standard P&L statement made it difficult to analyze
other cost of goods sold. Created simplified report. Increased emphasis on
excess/obsolete products for marketing analysis, resulting in increased
sales and lowering reserves by $5M.
