hauled to the landfill and a 40% increase in recycling.

Audit by Toshiba Japan's environmental audit team resulted in a record high
score for a first time audit.
In less than 4 years, my efforts to reduce Injuries/Workers Comp Costs
(>$500K), WC Insurance Premiums ($75K/yr) and improve recycling activities
(>$30K/yr) saved the company approximately $750K.

Hired to close an overdue State Safety Audit.
Due to 12 different languages, did Train-the-Trainer for bilingual
employees who could train in their language.
Designed a new cart to counter back injuries (which cost an average of
$188K/year over the past few years).
Collaborated with other regional EHS Mgrs to update/enhance the EHS
Policies and Procedures Manual.
Monitored Physicians and placed surveillance on employees thought to be
abusing the Workers Comp system.
Inherited a facility which was last in almost all categories, according to
the Corp EHS Scorecard.
With safety requiring so much attention, hired and monitored an
environmental consultant for environmental tasks.
RESULTS:
State Safety Audit closed to the State's satisfaction.
Training was provided to all employees in their primary language.
At the end of 12 months, injuries reduced by 53%.
Most employees complied with requests to seek treatment at recommended
clinics.
WC employees caught on camera were terminated and reported to authorities.
Employees notified of Zero Tolerance.
After 1 year, Corp EHS Scorecard showed the facility was in 1st or 2nd
place in almost all categories.
