Employment History

My last position was an exciting career in China as an Assistant Manager
for the import/export department in a wire manufacturing company. Yangqu
Wire Co. made use of my language and purchasing background to import high
quality materials from Japan and the USA and to export their products all
over the world. These wire products were mainly used in automobiles,
televisions, high-end audio equipment and computers. My responsibilities
included but were not limited to the following;
. Investigating and developing foreign sources of supply for
materials
. Inspecting contracted foreign suppliers for quality assurance
. Preparation and submission of all import documents for the raw

the USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, Korea, India and many others.
. Translation of all international correspondence including
teleconferences, videoconferences, email and face to face
meetings.
. Prepared all progress reports for customers including shipping

Another project I was involved in was a complete factory/plant
relocation project. Many of the machines, robotics and tooling were
Japanese and required experts from Japan to transport and reset the
machinery. I was responsible for their translation, personal
transportation, food and lodging during their time in China.
I left this company (on very good terms) to bring my family to the
United States so my son can have an education in the USA. I have been
living and working abroad a major part of my life and I feel it is time to
settle down and establish some roots here in the USA.
