My last position was an exciting career in China as an Assistant Manager

for the import/export department in a wire manufacturing company. Yangqu

Wire Co. made use of my language and purchasing background to import high

quality materials from Japan and the USA and to export their products all

over the world. These wire products were mainly used in automobiles,

televisions, high-end audio equipment and computers. My responsibilities

included but were not limited to the following;

. Investigating and developing foreign sources of supply for

materials

. Inspecting contracted foreign suppliers for quality assurance

. Preparation and submission of all import documents for the raw

materials required in China

. Preparation and submission of all export documents for the

products to be exported from China to various countries such as

the USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, Korea, India and many others.

teleconferences, videoconferences, email and face to face

meetings.

. Prepared all progress reports for customers including shipping

schedules.

Another project I was involved in was a complete factory/plant

relocation project. Many of the machines, robotics and tooling were

Japanese and required experts from Japan to transport and reset the

machinery. I was responsible for their translation, personal

transportation, food and lodging during their time in China.

I left this company (on very good terms) to bring my family to the

United States so my son can have an education in the USA. I have been

living and working abroad a major part of my life and I feel it is time to

settle down and establish some roots here in the USA.
