1 CAREER HISTORY & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1-Soltech, Inc. Premier Texas-based manufacturer of photovoltaic modules
Production Engineering Manager, 2009 to present. Accepted the challenge of taking the lead
role starting up a new 15MW PV manufacturing plant in Texas; designing and producing UL certified
photovoltaic modules. Managing over 50 employees. Trade show sales.
Responsibilities include Manufacturing operations and logistics, inventory and warehouse
management, product design, quality control, material and equipment purchasing, production floor
layout, equipment startup and module testing, technical sales, process development, authoring
procedures and specifications. We received UL certification within eight months, January 2010.
International Development Corporation LLC. 2010 - present. Exclusive manufacturer and distributor
of Honeywell Solar Photovoltaic AC SmartGrid Systems
Technical Sales & Engineering - Provided technical sales and engineering support to developing
solar energy sales team. Developed technical documentation including solar system layout
AutoCad drawings, equipment specifications, installation manuals, electrical schematics and sales
brochures for new AC PV modules. Provided installation training and documentation. Project
engineering.
Trade show sales support in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Traveled to different company HQ sites,
meeting with buyers from organizations like Home Depot and Blue Linx.
Texas Instruments, 2006 – 2009
Metrology Equipment Engineer - Led teams of up to nine technicians on corrective and
preventative maintenance and root cause analysis of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Plasma Equipment Engineer – Supervised equipment installation and retrofits. Managed QC
processes and product design. Implemented and performed new maintenance routines to resolve
lingering tool issues and modify production line.
Solving quality issues. Challenged with resolving serious solvent contamination issue that
stopped operations for two weeks. Led maintenance team to think out of the box and inspect
hardware problems. After hands-on, manual research, discovered incoming product was
contaminated, despite vendor guarantees to the contrary. Issue led to beneficial contract
negotiations between company and vendor, saving Texas Instruments $600,000 per year.
Honeywell, Inc 2001 - 2006
Senior Plasma Process Engineer, Plasma-etch, CVD and Bump process development,
implementation and troubleshooting. Other Responsibilities included supervising manufacturing site
floor layout, new equipment installation, start ups, upgrades, relocation, decommission and
decontamination. Served as project lead for entire site.
Green Belt Certification Project Obsolete semiconductor processing system at Honeywell Inc.
was unreliable and inefficient. Reviewed and evaluated problems with current procedures.
Implemented guidelines and scheduled maintenance procedures to boost availability and
throughput. Improved system availability from 68% to 97%, exceeding expected goal of 95%.
Earned Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification while completing project.
Applied Materials, Inc. 1999 - 2001
Customer Engineer II, Directed installation, maintenance, repair and advanced troubleshooting of
CVD and plasma-etch semiconductor fabrication equipment. Provided on-sight maintenance service
of equipment. Provided products and services to customers, internal and external, which conformed
exactly to established requirements.
Metawave Communications Corporation, 1998 - 1999.
Field Service Engineer, A new technology start-up telecommunications company that
manufactured software-controlled antennae systems for customers like Verizon Wireless and Alltel.
Performed installation, setup and calibration of analog and digital cellular phone tower radios,
antennae and routers. Installed equipment racks and cabling.
Applied Materials, Inc. 1996 to 1998
Customer Engineer, Maintained and serviced plasma-etch and CVD semiconductor fabrication
equipment at customer sites (National Semiconductor, Advanced Micro Devices, Motorola).
Evaluated, selected and ordered cost-effective repairs and parts.
