S tarted as a Shipping Clerk as my first job after being receiving a honorable discharge from the U.S.
M arine Corps in 1978. Completed Phase I & I I military packaging training courses Aberdeen Proving
g rounds and was promoted to Military Packaging Expert Level A. My duties included preparing
electronic devices in moisture resistant barrier packs for overseas shipments and assuring a long shelf life
i n extreme climates. Operated all types of shipping loading equipment and was trained as a fork lift
d river. Transferred to the Procurement Dept. and progressed into the Outside Vendor Finishing Dept. I
p repared raw materials for various metal t reatments. Raw goods were sent out for chrome plating,
phosphate, anodizing prior to final assembly and paint. I was also responsible for shipping finished
materials to military installations in the USA and to foreign countries. I later advanced into the
P roduction Planning Dept. where I was required to oversee the acquiring of parts and materials
necessary to build drone planes (RPV’s) Remote Piloted Vehicles through all levels of production. I
maintained a secret level security clearance through out my tenure at AAI Corporation. As a result of
defense cut backs by the Regan administration, my job was eliminated and the company was down sized
f rom 4500 employees to less than 1500 employees in 1990.
