OBJECTIVE

NORTEL Meridian / CS1000, VoIP Networks of NORTEL and Asterisk both,

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Around 13 years over all experience on various job categories,
started carrier as a Telecomm Engineer and worked on various
prestigious telecom vendors like SIEMENS, ALKATEL, ELTEK and
NORTEL at different job positions from Trainee Engineer to Manager
Telecomm in Different Telecomm Firms with the following details,
Nortel SL1/Meridian/Succession/CS1000 Specific Projects.
Installed and Managed whole Setup of Call Center and PABX with
Nortel Meridian Option 11C -61C /Succession/CS1000 and Symposium
at Various Customers and Locations through out Pakistan.
The Detail of Customers with Nortel SL/ Meridian/ Succession/
CS1000/ Symposium Equipment with different applications (PRI-2,BRI, Meridian MAX, Symposium Call Centers,Call Pilot, LSE1,
ITGL, ITGT, MIRAN, XUT, EXUT, OTM, Billing S/Ws etc)

Set up of Voice and Data Networks( Data Center/Call Centers
and PABX with Meridian MAX, Symposium and Meridian 11C-61C
(stand alone and network based both) at various major cities of
Pakistan.
b. NTC ( National Telecommunication Corporation):-
Installed Commissioned and Maintenance of whole Setup of
Voice Network with Meridian 11C-61C for Green Exchanges (VVIP
PABX Network under the use of President of Pakistan, his
Cabinet Members, National & Provincial Assembly Members and
Ministers) in Provincial and Regional Headquarters through out
Pakistan .
c. NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority of
Pakistan.
Installed Commissioned and Maintenance of whole Setup of
Call Center and VoIP Communication in Three Major Cities of
Pakistan with Meridian 11C and Symposium 4.2 application.
d. 5-Star Hotels (PC, Marriot, etc )
Installed, Commissioned and Configured Nortel Meridian 1
Option 61C PABX's for Six Pearl Continental and Merriot Hotels
in Pakistan the properties of Hashwani Group of Industries and
connected the above PABX systems through PASSPORT 4400 series.
e. Other Meridian/Succession/CS1000 Customers
Installation Commissioning configuration and after sale
maintenance support of twenty other Miscellaneous Customers
like Prime Minister Office, Foreign Office, Al-Shifa
International Hospital Paktel, U-fone( PABX and
Call Center), Emirate Air Line, Pakistan International Air Line
(Call Center and PABX),American Embassy Islamabad, different
ministries, private and corporate offices etc.
f. Experience Other than Nortel Equipment,
Managed huge networks of ALKATEL (4300L) PABX's at seven
stations of DEFFCOMM in Southern region of Pakistan,Also
worked on SIEMENS EMS 601 and EMS 12000 from bench level to
2nd level of maintenance.

Working in Pegrume Ltd as Senior Technical Manager (Engineering),
I am Responsible to handle Telecom Projects from design to
implementation and to provide Technical Support to the customers
holding NORTEL & AVAYA Voice/ VoIP setup,
Currently I am deployed in UNON (UN office in Nairobi) to look
after all the United Nations Organizations in Nairobi and its
affiliated offices around African Region, for its NORTEL and ICT
Telecommunication Operational and Maintenance tasks including
capacity building, structural and strategic development and to
advice to resolve day to day issues. Have an extensive knowledge
of ICT systems deployed in UN main offices and Field missions
and brief knowledge of planning and project management and to
provide tech solution for upcoming requirements of new projects
The role in UNON as Manager Engineering also includes to assist
in the establishment of information management, enhancement of

Implemented 1 x NORTEL CS1K Telecom System as an addition to the
existing Network at UNON ( United Nations office at Nairobi )
Implemented CS1K Rel- 5.0 in "Sankara" and Intercontinental Five
Star Hotels in Nairobi.
Upgraded 3 x Meridian 1 systems to Release 5.0 .
Responsible to manage engineering aspects of tasks in the

in Head office at Base Station with 81C and 8 x remote offices
with 11C PABX systems.

Nortel PABX (Pre /Post Sale Support Engineer/Manager Telecomm).
. During above mentioned period my main role was to provide pre and post-
sales consultancy, support, high level design, audit and
troubleshooting services to Platinum and key customer accounts. The
primary focus of the role was the range of Voice services including
traditional PABX systems, VoIP based telephony, Call Centres, and
Voice Mail/UM systems. Design, support and installation of Nortel PABX
and IP telephony based voice systems.

whole Voice Solution over Fiber,Radio,Satellite and specially Vo IP
and hands on the Voice solutions of Nortel Networks at the
Managerial as well as Operational level.( As I have Installed,Commissioned and Configured the whole Network of Symposium Network
Call Center,Meridian 1 Option11C through 61C ),and was a part of
core Engineers/Managers during installation and configuring of IVR,
Genesys Server,CMS for NADRA HQ and PHQs.

level maintenance of NORTEL NETWORKS for Voice and Data Solutions at
the various sites in Pakistan and Afghanistan as a pre and post
