August 2009 to January 2010
Completed one semester of law school after volunteering in the Maysville,
Kentucky Office of Public Advocacy and decided a career in law was not what
I wanted.
The Mason County Beat
Publisher 4/05 to 7/06
Owned and operated a weekly newspaper where I did everything from payroll
to health insurance to cleaning the bathroom. In its first five months the
paper earned thirteen Kentucky Press Association awards for excellence.
The Ledger Independent
News Editor 7/98 to 3/05
I was responsible for covering everything that happens in a two county area
from fires, floods and robberies to government meetings and art contests.
Besides writing for the paper I also served as editor and supervised a
staff of eight newsroom employees. I won multiple Kentucky Press
Association awards during my time at the Ledger.

My position in the Air Force was of an administrative nature. I provided
administrative support for daily flying operations in a fighter squadron
including scheduling pilots, monitoring pilot qualifications such as
numbers of landings, air-refueling and bombing runs as well as keeping up
with the necessary medical and educational requirements. I also supervised
four airmen and was responsible for all the classified material within the
squadron.
