The $242 million hospital expansion includes a four-story, 280,000 ft2 hospital, a nine-story parking

garage and a five-story, 321,000 ft2 medical office building. The structures are designed with

basements up to 15 ft below the groundwater level and will be supported on spread footings. Involved

in open-cut excavation analysis/recommendations below the water table that avoided more expensive

shoring alternatives. Provided project plan and specification review, evaluation and site

monitoring/management for construction progress, documentation of QA/QC findings and

recommendation of field and office engineering changes for consistency with contractual provisions,

and assisted in consultation/RFI response during construction.

Portland International Airport, HQP2 Building, Portland, OR

Conducted preliminary and detailed final geotechnical engineering investigations. Provided design

recommendations, including review of construction documents and evaluation and site

monitoring/management for construction progress, documentation of QA/QC findings and

recommendation of field and office engineering changes for consistency with contractual provisions,
