Administrative Assistant (OAII): Experienced in computer operations using MS Office including
preparing documents in Word, maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings in Outlook, and
recording information in Excel and Access. Gathered and entered data into existing customer and
financial data collection systems. Provided support to management, professional and senior staff
through the preparation of mailings and assembling meeting material packets. Made phone contacts,
researched information, coordinated schedules and assisted with the preparation of correspondence and
reports. Maintained lists, purchase order requests, routed mail, updated materials, processed e-mails,
prepared correspondence, processed supply orders, scheduled events and provided administrative
support. Greeted and assisted both external and internal customers. Responsible for answering phones
and basic customer inquiries. Assisted the Business Connection team with data entry into SKIES and
closing/exiting participants. Assisted our Youth programs with creating and publishing the Youth
Resource Book, using Microsoft Publisher. Routed customer needs to appropriate resources. Assisted
Fiscal with payroll disbursement and entering Individual Training Accounts into SKIES. Responsible
for backing up the Executive Assistant by staffing meetings, taking minutes, transcribing minutes and
assisting with event planning and travel arrangements. Processed mileage reimbursements for senior
staff and board members to submit to fiscal for re-imbursement. Responsible for the task of
reconfiguring the work space at Stone Education Center, JBLM. This was coordinated with Action
Business Furniture, Net Venture and WFC IT staff. Reduced bid from Action Business Furniture from
$12,000.00 down to $3,900.00. This reconfiguration was done to make workspace for 4 additional
staff. Assisted with the Heroes At Home program, JBLM. Coordinated the purchases of items for the
grand opening kickoff event for the BRAC-NEG Heroes At Home II, including decorations, food and
drinks for approximately 300 guests, using 4 different vendors. Attended mandatory monthly all staff
meetings and weekly all staff meetings while co- located at Stone Education Center, JBLM.
Volunteer: While employed by WorkForce Central, I was the office coordinator for the local United
Way fund raiser for 5 years. Solicited donations from local businesses for the City of Tacoma United
Way Basket Raffle and collected completed donation forms from staff. In 2009, supported our team
working on the “Paint Tacoma Beautiful” project. In 2010, I coordinated with Tommy Carlson of
Camp Murray for the adoption of two reserve families for the WorkForce Central staff to support for
Christmas.
