. Head of Risk and Governance (2007-2011) (promotion, Direct report to

Senior director responsible for the global enterprise risk management
program. This included managing the COSO compliance program, division
level SOX sign-off, and ensuring risk registers where properly aligned
with the group risk framework. Further responsibilities included
designing and implementing KRI's and Operational Risk MI and ensuring
consistency in the US and UK operations, and representing the division
at monthly and quarterly group risk board meetings as well as chairing
the division's risk boards in the US and UK. Other general risk areas
also fell within the risk management mandate, including data
protection law (EU and UK derived legislation), health and safety, and
preparation of divisional fillings for plc board level sign off by the
executive team.
In 2010, additional responsibility for group level risk reviews in a
number of Prudential Asia operations over a nearly five month period,
with reports and presentations provided to each CEO of local Asian
businesses as well as head office in London. (Japan, Thailand,
Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong on-site
reviews)

Responsible for oversight and review of operational efficiencies,
metrics, and growth targets for the division. Additional mandate
included early-stage risk management and framework design /
development for the division during the 'start-up' phase, as the
division grew from 5 employees to over 700 globally. Key senior
management team member focused on the delivery of over 50,000,000 USD
in annual technology savings over a two year period by in-sourcing
technology contracts to USA operations, contract rationalization, and
the implementation of operational metrics. These group-wide targets
were all delivered on time and on budget, while improving SLA
performance as well. Positioned involved monthly travel between USA
and UK based operations over a two year period.
. Strategy Manager (2005-2006), Finance / Strategic Sourcing
Responsible for the confidential strategy development behind an
outsourcing option the move 50% of the UK Finance Department to
Mumbai. This included calculating run rate savings, numerous on and
off site meetings with 3rd party outsourcing suppliers around the UK,
contract reviews, and RFI and RFP development. Worked closely with
our in-house Mumbai captive operation and the Managing Director to
build an internal option as well. Presented the findings to the UK
CFO, which were implemented as suggested, resulting in a 5,000,000 USD
annual savings.
