I did everything in my power, for every case in the dental lab to get Dr. Brundrette his dentures to his patients in a

timely manner. I never hesitated once to get up and disinfect a case, pour it up in stone, set the bites, teeth, wax, pour &

process! Then I would finish, polish, prepare for delivery and deliver. I applied for this job thinking it was in an ‘office’, took

the job with NO knowledge of denture work; I ended up as 2nd chair!

I enjoy everything about being in a dental lab! The job comes so naturally to me I feel as if this is what I was born to

do! Affordable Dentures is the best company I have ever worked for (& that includes Wal Mart!). Dr. Edwards got his hands

on a goldmine when he started this company and I want to be a part of this. I am an ADDL girl all the way! Whatever you

need me to do, I’ll do. I guarantee I will be the best you ever seen if you just give me a chance. I will not let you down!

I moved ahead every 6 months, watching all techs their tips & techniques, some on what to do, some on what

not to do.

In the 4 years I was there I received 7 raises (those don’t come lightly)

I opened and closed lab every day we were open. I dealt one on one with everyone from the receptionist to the

dentist himself, even patients from time to time. I was very respected by each office we worked for because I kept them

inform on the patients status.

I did the ordering and kept track of all lab supplies so our inventory stayed controlled. Kept the lab organized for

easy and faster rollover.

2nd chair

I set up the majority of partials, cast metal and clasps. I worked with the manager with the full denture setups. Was

the first to learn new techniques for try ins and denture processing. I am also knowledgeable in the set up and finishing of

valplast and flexites.

It is at this lab that I learned so many new techniques in set up and finishing. A few things about crown & bridge

work too. I have also learned the packing technique of processing. I was also able to help out my fellow co workers by

teaching them some ways around their jobs to help them work more efficient. I have always enjoyed helping others and pride

myself in being able to do it in a manner that is helpful, not being a know it all!
