To: Hiring manager of my future employer:
I am applying for Care Specialist; I saw the ad on Resumebook360 and on the
Molina website. I have learned many unique ways in communicating with
patients based on their educational level, mental health status and working
with people with different learning disabilities. I am a detailed oriented
person and realize the need to look at the whole picture not just one
aspect in dealing with any medical situation. It is important to advocate
for the patient/consumer to help maintain their continuity of care and a
voice to assist in meeting their medical needs.
My nursing career has helped me adapt and be challenged in my diverse
background including; my training and nursing skills in the US Army, my
strong background in critical care and trauma, working with incarcerated
women and my 15 years working with older adults with different learning and
developmental disabilities.
Through my work and volunteer experience, my skills with teaching are
numerous. My volunteer work with the American Red Cross, Helpline-Crisis
hotline worker and Docent for the Columbus Zoo required me to be innovative
in my approach.
I feel it is important to empower the patient to want to have the energy
that is needed to improve and make a difference in a healthier life style.
I look forward to an opportunity to interview for this position. You may
reach me by phone or by email.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Pruitt
