Since graduation I have worked as a design engineer. Through the numerous successful projects it has

been shown that my strength is in my ability to quickly conceptualize a situation and provide a realisitic

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

As an associate engineer, I performed the environmental reports and created medium scale

production drawings. I setup and ran testing per ANSI standards and created reports for

certification. I also provided fixture improvements and repairs.

After consistent high reviews I was promoted and given two direct reports. This made me the

manager of the qualilty department. I added to my duties; vendor tooling approval, tool checks,

customer support and field failure analysis. I maintained and created visual controls.

When promoted to Engineer A, I added more direct support to the sales staff. This included

assistance in new product design, direct technical support, and some customer presentations. I also

was given the task of leading the ISO 9001 Implementation Program.

Selected Results:

• Identified, designed and developed 4 new products (2 of which where new to the

industry) with a potential sales impact of over $275,000.

• Implemented the Internal Audit, Tool and Gauge, and Preventative Maintenance

programs.

• Identified, designed and developed cost saving projects with actual combined yearly

savings over $100,000. We have implemented 3 of 14 ideas, and will continue to

implement the others as manpower is available.

• Corrected 2 recurring field failure issues through the development of better test methods

and analysis.

• ISO 9001 Lead auditor trained.

Engineering Intern

I had several chances to lead projects with extensive solid modeling in SolidWorks. I was

responsible for the complete design of lumber equipment from concept to machine

drawings. I was also the computer technician responsible for keeping 10 separate stations

operating and providing network support. I had several projects programming in Matlab,

C++, and Excel.

Selected Results:

• Provided Matlab based models to simulate linkage motions and force requirements.

• Fully designed 3 pieces of equipment without prior design reference. (Log conveyor,

rotary log table, self erecting demo stand)

• Designed and installed a 0.75 mile radio link between the two offices.
