I am writing this recommendation letter on behalf of a special request of Am
anda O'Dell for
the purposes of her enrolment in further educational process, as well as app
lication for a job position. It is a privilege, if this act will
help to the personal growth of one of my best
students in the last generation.
I met Amanda in the second semester of undergraduate studies in
school year 2009/10,
when she came to the Faculty of Economics of University of
Ljubljana as an exchange (Erasmus) student. At that time she
attended one of my courses, that is International
marketing course, where I had the opportunity to be acquainted with Amanda's
personality
and her work.
Amanda is creative, hardworking and reliable person. Although she is a great
team player,
she never hesitates to express her own opinion and share her experience in f
ront of the whole class. She has shown tremendous knowledge about
theoretical concepts in international
business and marketing, as well as the ability to apply the theory in order
to solve practical problems, which she demonstrated by correctly
solving two business cases for two
companies (Don Don, Vipp). Her confidence and self-
esteem led her to prepare one of the best international marketing
strategies for Procter & Gamble (P&G), a well known
multinational company. Moreover, she was an important integrative part of th
e team that
was faced by the question, how P&G could enter US market with Swiffer brand,
which she
answered in the international marketing course project and successfully pres
ented in front of the Slovenian management board. Her contribution
to the course and overall work
assessment was rewarded with the highest grade.
I can conclude that Amanda is a mature person, who does not fear to face any
business or
personal challenges. As she is eager to improve, she must continue with her
education, as
well as get an opportunity to prove herself in the international company. I
am certain that
one day Amanda will, because of her capabilities and knowledge, represent on
e of the key
employees in a successful international company or even accept the academic
