Started Idaho Solar Power as a sole proprietorship, raised money to operate
the business, designed and installed solar water heating, off-grid and on-
grid electric systems, and worked with distributors of solar panels and a
variety of electrical and plumbing subcontractors. Worked with Daybreak
Solar in Santa Fe, NM on a project that installed four on-grid solar
electric systems from 10kw to 20kw each in late 2010.
1986-Current Freelance Writer and Consultant
Write non-fiction articles on conservation issues for newspapers and
magazines; write and edit newsletters and brochures; write short fiction
stories; currently writing a non-fiction book.
2004-2006 Executive Director for Hells Canyon Preservation Council
Raised $220,000 operating money annually for HCPC, managed five staff
members, created and managed programs for the organization, managed a
Board, edited The Falcon newsletter, and saw the spectacular country in
northeast Oregon along Hells Canyon.
1980-2000 Construction Work
I was a carpenter in Davis, CA at Village Homes Subdivision, and McCall,
Idaho, contracted 3 passive solar homes, installed solar water heating
systems and insulated homes, constructed many solar water heating systems
in Davis, painted homes in Idaho, and was the Utah representative of The
Wilderness Society and Conservation Director of Idaho Conservation League
for 9 years.

Natural Resources Planning and Policy Analysis.
