LEGAL EXPERIENCE
BrownGreer PLC, Richmond, VA. (November 2010 to June 2011)
Reviewed claims for a firm specializing in mass claims resolution,
litigation and management located in Richmond Virginia. Duties included
reviewing and evaluating claims arising from the April 2010 Gulf Coast
oil spill for legal causation and fraudulent trends. Tasks included
review and analysis of business records, tax documents, employment
letters and correspondence from claimants to assess the validity of
property damage claims from individual and business claimants. I was also
assigned to audit claims believed to contain fraudulent information or to
be part of larger fraudulent schemes.

2010 to May 2011)
Worked for a Richmond firm specializing in civil litigation. Performed a
variety of legal assignments involving international tort law, tort law,
legal ethics, and contract law. Responsibilities included examining and
evaluating case files, reviewing and summarizing deposition and trial
testimony, conducting legal research for civil appeals, and drafting
legal memoranda.
Virginia Community College System Legal Department, Richmond, VA. (August
2009 to December 2009)
Served as legal extern assigned to the VCCS legal department. Performed
numerous legal research projects and drafted memoranda on intellectual
property disputes, state immunity, employment law, and First Amendment
free speech issues. Reviewed legislative history of state statutes, aided
in the drafting editing of contracts and regulations pertaining to the
VCCS. Handled discovery assignments, including document production and
FOIA requests.
