The Unit of Work Information Service (UOWIS) team supports PFS 3 and PFS 4
central database technology. UOWIS provides a common interface that
captures all information about a Unit of Work (UOW) and provides
maintenance and querying tools for the most current information on the
status of a UOW that is either in a local facility or forecast to be in a
local facility. A UOW is defined as any UPS service element that may affect
the hub or preload operation; this may be a package, bag, container, and a
facility or driver service request.
