Welder, (June 2009 to May 2010) Started as a grinder/sweeper, and quickly became promoted to
machine operator. After excelling as an operator I was promoted again to certified sub arc welder for
work on bridge projects. I was involved in a serious work related accident and made the decision to
attend school.
Dillard’s – Fort Smith, AR
Dock Employee, (March 2008 to May 2009) Duties included merchandise and fixture handling,
loading and unloading trailers, store maintenance, and custodial duties. I was told that no promotions
or raises were available for dock employees. I needed to find work that gave opportunities for
advancement for hard work.
Arkansas Air National Guard – 188th Fighter Wing
Meteorologist, (Feb 2004 to June 2010) Duties included observing and forecasting weather patterns
and delivering briefs of local weather to fighter pilots of the 188th Air Base. During my 5 years in the
military I excelled in studies and in training. I was medically and honorably discharged from the military
in June 2010.
