Objective
To utilize my education and work experience to contribute as a member of
the Company with knowledge and ability that add value to the Company.
Summary of Experience
During my experience as a Director of Finance, I developed as a
professional in the following areas:
Management - With my first opportunity to manage employees from both a
financial and operational perspective, I created drive and positivity in
the eyes of the employees who reported to me. The success was apparent
in the increased productivity and cash flow of the Company. Through the
use of managerial techniques learned from various sources, I was able to
increase the revenues of the Company's biggest trade show by 67% with a
100% increase in profit from the show a year prior.
Consulting/Work Retention - When I arrived as the Director of Finance, I
quickly saw that the Company was struggling to maintain cash flow to
cover operating expenses. I decided to provide financial services to
the members of the association in order to increase cash flow. Within
six months I locked down two contracts with potential for annual
renewal.
AIS Creation - Upon arrival to the association, I was hired to replace a
CPA firm who provided bookkeeping and financial services to the
association for 20 years. The organization had no ability to transfer
the accounting information system to Quickbooks. My first project was
to create internal controls and processes through an Accounting
Information System that I developed from a trial balance given to me by
the CPA firm. I created the entire system in a matter of two months and
issued financial statements within the same amount of time. I took my
time at the association to focus on internal control and compliance with
standards. When I arrived, there were significant deficiencies within
the accounting process. The controls I put in place, to my knowledge,
have created better compliance and decreased the risk of fraud from
within the association.
During two years of business valuation and litigation support
experience, I developed an in-depth background in the following areas:
Data Analysis - Analyzing company specific and financial data provided
by clients. This involves reviewing the materials received,
documenting the data, and arranging a list of what is still required
such as, tax returns, off-balance sheet items, etc. This area also
includes applying financial analysis to the data received which is
used in a final report.
Report Writing - Communicating to the client the analyses that were
performed and the final results. Each report requires nine
individual chapters including industry, economic, financial, and
valuation analyses. Since my immediate boss holds the CPA
designation, I am also required to write in accordance with the
AICPA's Statement on Standards for Valuation Services Number 1.
Website Development - Maintaining and updating the Company website in
accordance with any new standards or updates to the Company or
industry of business valuation.
Industry Knowledge - Researching the industry in which the client's
business operates. This involves finding growth, threats,
weaknesses, and median valuation multiples. Industry knowledge
allows for a "sanity check" for the indicated results.
Team Work - Working together to perform quality work with accurate
results. This requires performing tasks in a dynamic office that
requires everyone's individual input and combined ideas to provide
the client with excellent service.
Employment History
Rural Water Association of Arizona Tucson, Arizona (3/2010-Present)
March 1, 2010 to Present Director of Finance/Resource Development.
As the Director of Finance and Resource Development, I performed and
oversaw all financial responsibilities from within the organization
while managing the operations of our trade shows. Due to the financial
constraint that the company faced, I was in charge of bringing in
consulting work where I performed contractual financial services for
various clients who are all members of the association. During my time
at the Rural Water Association of Arizona, I used discounted cash flow
analysis and intuition to make decisions on a managerial level that
increased revenues outside of federal program funds by 75%. The net
income grew by 131% during my first year of employment at the
association. This is highlighted by two different segments that I
managed where revenues grew by 80% and 90% respectively over the course
of a year.
Brueggeman and Johnson Yeanoplos, PC Tucson, Arizona (11/2007 to
1/2010)
2007 to January 15, 2010 Valuation/Financial Analyst. As a valuation
analyst I was required to appraise businesses based on a specified

of the value of a company is financial analysis. Throughout my tenure
at BJY, I performed valuations in the following fields: Employee Stock
Ownership Plans (ESOPs), litigation support, construction, technology,
research and development, and microfinance. The duties of a valuation
analyst are to define an engagement, analyze the information provided by
the client, perform financial analyses, write an appraisal report and
issue the report. While performing valuation analyst duties for BJY, I
also performed website development duties. These duties included
maintaining the website and updating it in accordance with any new
policies and regulations that occur in the valuation industry. I was
responsible for training the office manager in maintaining the website.
