Professional Experience
Pfizer, Inc., Chesterfield, MO . 2009
R&D Analytical Chemist
Recruited to assume contract position during associate's medical leave.
Performed routine assays on R&D samples and developed new analytical
methods to support product development and continuous improvement efforts.
Provided comprehensive lab support to Auto Purification Team / Sample
Logistics (APT/SL) team. Additionally, proactively assisted SFC lab in
purifying samples, as needed.
Covidien, St. Louis, MO . 2009
R&D Chemist
Investigated elevated Molybdenum-99 (Mo-99) breakthrough following
elution of Molybdenum-99/Technetium-99m generators. Performed GC to
predict and control order of elution. Designed, set-up, and executed
experiments, analyzing results and preparing summaries/technical reports
of findings. Ensured adherence to standards and processes established by
process development team.
Pfizer, Inc., Chesterfield, MO . 2008
Purification Scientist
Skillfully performed analytical chemistry techniques to support daily
research initiatives. Developed and implemented chiral and achiral
chromatographic methods suitable for purification of large-scale
intermediates and final products. Conducted preparative scale chiral
supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC); utilized SFC/MS to obtain
separation conditions with proper combination of chiral columns and
modifiers. Conducted method development and validation, developing assay to
separate analytes of interest; measured relative proportions of analytes in
mixture using analytical chromatography. Ensured accuracy, consistency, and
completeness of all records, updating Chemistry e-Notebook (CeN).
. Repeatedly recognized, both formally and informally, by colleagues and
senior managers for providing team with high-quality samples in timely
manner and for making ongoing contributions to R&D efforts.

Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE), Edwardsville, IL .
2005-2007
Graduate Research Assistant - Department of Environmental Chemistry
Awarded competitive research assistantship in investigate presence of
organochlorine pesticides (OCs) in soil; research was applied to conduct
risk assessment studies and reduce cleanup costs associated with
contaminated sites. Performed acute toxicity testing using earthworms as
bioassays to confirm critical body residue (CBR) approach of OCs in soil.
Utilized broad range of analytical chemistry techniques, as well as SAS and
ANOVA, during experiments and studies. Maintained lab workbooks and
material safety data sheets in accordance with study protocols and
applicable standards and regulations.
Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels, LTD., India . 2002
Intern - Cryogenics Department
Investigated and presented seminar to team on role of pressure vessels in
storing highly pressurized liquids; conducted comprehensive research on
oxygen and nitrogen cycling, as well as role of cryogenics, in pressure
vessels. Prepared process flowcharts and reviewed, edited, and updated
documentation, as needed.
