2009 as Craft Supervisor of Shipfitters and Welders with Atlantic Marine,

Inc. Pinto Island, Alabama (Mobile, Al)

Responsibilities included: Schedule projects, responsible for making budget

and production on panel line in the assembly of 650' Chemical Tankers for

SHELL/AHL. Personally supervised (with the aid of 2 technicians) up to 20

ship-fitters and 12 welders, arranged for the final lifting (Install lift

and turn Lugs per Alion Drawings), and the transporting of units to other

work stations. Unit weights were upwards of 40 tons. Responsibilities also

include budget, planning and review and changes to drawings and work

packages. Arrange and met with ABS and Owner Reps', Lloyds of London and

USCG inspectors for assembly inspections.

Manage timesheets for all crafts, order material and consumables. Oversee

the operation of the One Sided welding (OSW) apparatus, Lincoln. Oversee

automated stiffener welder, 8 heads capacity, 2 each 20 ton over-head

cranes in 12,800 sq 'shop. I personally perform day to night shift

work/project turnovers to insure quality communication between the 2

shifts.

Experience: I am Familiar with all types of steel fabrication, (boats,

drill rigs, pipe laying barges, tanks etc.) bows, sterns, engine rooms,

inner-bottoms, anchor chutes, bulwarks, decks, rigging, tanks, stairways,

handrails, etc... Familiar with pre-fabrication and major unit

fitting/pulling together of 1,200' ocean going vessels, LNG Tankers (Liquid

Nitrogen Gas), Nuclear Submarines... also construction of oil, well

drilling and pipe laying barges, tanks, and major and minor assemblies.

Also, as a 1st. class ship-fitter I built 75' to 225' oil supply boats,

shrimp boats and scallop dredgers, barges, tugboats etc... while employed

with Eastern Marine of Panama City, Fl.

I have pulled plate, side-shells, bottom shell, and main deck plates, set

Focsle decks and Focsle and Pilot Houses etc... I have installed and

aligned engines, propellers, propeller shafts, rudders, flanking rudders,

cort nozzles and bow thrusters on small and large boats and ships, and

built handrails and stairways.

July 1975 to June 1993

Highly skilled and highly trained in lay-out work, swing arcs, radiuses'

and angles. Verify layouts with Diagonal checks, Parabolas and Matrix

check. I am proficient in frame building, read blueprints very well and

able to mentally transfer to the upside-down or sideways construction of

steel hull ship/units.

1st class Master ship-fitter designation given by General Dynamics of

Quincy, Mass. in 1985. Know and use the 3,4,5 (or whatever multiples of

same) method of squaring large units and welmonts or layout for cutting and

squaring large plates, units etc. I am familiar with Transit and/or

waterline leveling. Have built small tugboats and fishing vessels as well

as large ships and barges etc...

Crane operator of overhead cranes requiring manned cock-pit or hand-held

and/or cherry picker types with extending boom (up to 4o ton capacity).

Also am familiar with tank testing.

refrigerated) across the lower 48 states and Canada.

fabricating various structural beams, stairways and handrails for steel

building construction. Performed the fitting and welding of pipe, square

tubing, channel iron, angle and I-beams etc. with mig-gun flux core and non-

flux core .30 and .35 wire, and involved in all aspects of fabrication from

the reading of prints to the construction, then to shipping of product.
