Project Title A Puzzle Based Defence Strategy Against Flooding

Attacks Using Game Theory.

Description: This project utilizes game theory to propose a series of

optimal puzzle-based strategies for handling increasingly sophisticated

flooding attack scenarios. In doing so, the solution concept of Nash

equilibrium is used in a prescriptive way, where the defender takes his

part in the solution as an optimum defence against rational attackers.

6 ACHIEVEMENTS

> Presented a Paper entitled Virtualization in Cloud Computing at

Regional Student Convention Regional-5 of Computer Society of India.

Description: In this I have explained about what is cloud computing and

what is virtualization. How virtualization concept helps to provide

security, flexibility, scalability etc, what are the factors to access

cloud, what are the different types of virtualizations techniques, the

infrastructure of server virtualization, how it will work and what are the

components required.

> Participated in Debugging during QUEST-2011 a National Level

Technical Symposium held on 15th-16th of March 2011 in Jawaharlal

Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTU-H) and got 12th rank.

Description: It is a two round contest conducted to test student's logical

ability and programming skills based on 'C' language. The first round is

conducted online throughout the state (Andhra Pradesh); students can

participate in this contest from their places. In the first round some

questions are related to theory part, and in some questions a piece of code

will be given, participate need to find out the errors or should expect the

output of that code. Top twenty five candidates will be promoted to the

second round and that is an on-campus test; in these round few programs

will be given, the participate have to find out the syntactical as w ell

as logical errors to get the required output.

WORKSHOP ACTIVITIES

> Virtualization and Cloud Computing: It is a workshop on

Virtualization and cloud computing which an emerging technology is

conducted by Computer Society of India Regional Student Convention

Regional-5, in this workshop I learnt about Google cloud by Mr.

Jayakumar from Google Hyderabad.

> Cloud Computing: In this workshop I learnt about basics and benefits

of cloud computing. Amazon cloud's IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service)

by Mr. Ashwin Waknis and Virtualization -Foundation for Cloud

Infrastructure by Mr.Vijesh Rangaswami from Persistent Hyderabad.

> Excitement of Research (ExoR): It is a two day workshop conducted in

IIIT-Hyderabad. In this workshop I came to know about some of the

ongoing research at IIIT-Hyderabad, regarding corporate research and

some research presentations.
