PROJECT DETAILS
Project 1: Wi-Fi Offload Gateway (WiGW)
WiGW is a gateway from a trusted or un-trusted Wi-Fi access network to a LTE or a 3G network. For a LTE network, WiGW interfaces with the PDN Gateway (PGW). For a 3G network, WiGW interfaces with a Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN). Towards the UE, it interfaces with the access network which could be a trusted access or an un-trusted access.
High Availability feature (HA) is supported in WiGW on the basis of 2N redundancy model which provides Simple fault management and Fast switchovers.
I have handled all the design and implementation for IPv6 support and fallback scenarios on Diameter Interface towards AAA and GTP interface towards PGW.
Re-Auth feature is to avoid duplicate of sessions on receiving Re-Auth Request by linking the actual session with the Auth Session.
Duration 9 Months
Programming Languages C++, Shell Script
Role Low level design for HA and Re-Auth feature.
Coding in C++ on linux platform.
Find memory leaks and fix for the same.
SI testing with complex switch over scenarios.
IP plumbing and routing through scripts.
Project 2: Data Plane for LTE
The Project is to develop Data Plane for LTE SaMOG Node. This is used to send IP packets from UE in Uplink by converting it to GTP-U packets to PGW and vice versa.
It also supports Load Balancing, Time Stamping, QoS enforcement, Filtering on the basis of TFTs etc.
It involves multi-threading, Configuration of VLANs, TUN Devices, routing of packets etc through programming in C.
Duration 6 Months
Programming Languages C++, Shell Script, Socket Programming
Role Understanding of 3GPP Spec 29.281 – GPRS Tunnelling Protocol User Plane (GTPv1 - U).
High Level Design
Coding using Socket Programming.
Project 3: LTE ePDG
LTE ePDG provide EPC (Evolved Packet Core) access to non-3gpp user. For example a UE can access EPC via Wi-Fi. It interacts with AAA Server to authenticate UE and PGW to provide IP address and data access to UE.
Duration 9 Months
Programming Languages C++, Shell Script
Role Understanding of 3GPP Spec 23.402 – Architecture enhancements for non 3GPP Access (Release 10).
Understanding of following interfaces
o S2b: PDN G/W – ePDG (GTP-V2 based)
o SWm: AAA-Server –ePDG (DIAMETER based)
Worked on SM-Module and Mgmt-Module.
Customer support by providing fixes for CSRs.
Project 4: SMM 1.x
Smart Meter Management project of Alcatel Lucent based on PrOSPer tool in C++.
Duration 6 Months
Programming Languages C++, Linux
Role Customer support by providing fixes for CSRs.
Educational Qualification
Masters in Computer Applications(M.C.A.) from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra with 7.92 CGPA.
Bachelors of Science(Computer Science Honors) from Delhi University with 70% marks.
