Responsible for all narcotics reconciliation and auditing between pharmacy and
nursing floors including clinics nursing floors. Ensure all narcotics schedules
are received from vendors are reconciled against invoices accurately and in a
timely manner. Ensure the process of receiving, filling, signing, and
administering to patients are accurately completed and documented on the MAR and
on the Narcotics Records and are incompliance with the hospital and department
policy and procedures. Filing safety reports when necessary. Reconcile all
narcotics return bins on nursing floors against the patient MAR, Pyxis, and CII
safe record in pharmacy. Communicated with nursing managers any documentation
issues related to open discrepancies on each floor.
Accomplishments:
Improved nursing compliance with pharmacy narcotic documentation policy and
procedures from 50% to 90% on most floors.
