Action: Verified satisfied purchase orders; secured production reports and verified approval.

Requested Customs’ documentation from manufacturer; submitted to freight broker at Miami

port of entry. Authorized issuance of manual check to contract manufacturer to release shipment.

Result: Freight ($22,000 retail) arrived on time to customer distribution center.

Logistics Contractor / Project Administrator – Loungewear (7/98 to 8/99)

Managed and established all export and import shipping methodology per export facility and

air / land carriers with $6 million budget; contractor facilities located in El Salvador,

Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Costa Rica encompassing 4,900 employees.

Evaluated 807/9802 manufacturing performance and compliance of global standards.

Reported production statistics of men’s and women’s Loungewear; improved kitting of cut

parts and supplies; approved contractor production schedule and timelines.

Challenge: Mexican contractor unable to complete purchase order of finished goods due to local

labor dispute.

Action: Transferred uncut textiles and existing unassembled parts to alternate in-country

contractor. Traveled on-site to ensure smooth transition of workers and met with City Council

representative to confirm Sara Lee’s social and economic commitment on Global Compliance

Standards. Approved restructuring of proficiency schematics and supply chain processes.

Result: Timely delivery to K-Mart and Target of $85,000 order.

International Air Transportation Administrator (7/97 to 7/98)

Held air freight expenditures within established parameters and compliance of safety

standards; evaluated air carrier performance, schedule adherences / cost and facilitated on-

site inspections.

Implemented and completed maritime shipments cross-training; completed International

Trade & Customs documentation requirements with Customs’ attorneys for 800 imported /

exported weekly shipments.

Challenge: High priority shipment released late from Customs in Los Angeles, California.

Action: After container cleared Customs, authorized Customs Broker to move to cross-docking

location, break container seal and remove cartons. Cartons were delivered door-to-door by UPS;

container was resealed and shipped via rail.

Result: Distribution Center received goods with one-day buffer; no overtime incurred by

Distribution Center for $11,000 order.

Direct report to Director and Vice President of Offshore Manufacturing; supported

managerial staff of 14 Engineers, three Project Managers, four temporary employees and

three consultants. Developed divisional budgets, reporting templates; maintained and
