company. I have enjoyed each and every level of employment that I have ever worked. I am a very friendly, outgoing,

trustworthy and loyal person. I am looking for full time employment with a reputable company that is looking for a

long term employee.

Qualifications

I have a culinary education as well as a minimum of 20 years of working experience in the hospitality

industry. I am a hard worker that pays close attention to detail and I contribute that to my past experience in having

worked in successful, respected establishments.

Education

1992 Graduate of Neshaminy High School. Langhorne PA

1995 Graduate of the Chef Apprentice Program at Buck’s County Community College, Newton Pa

Schooling consisted of a minimum of 30 work hours per week along with normal class

schedule. My apprenticeship was performed under the watchful eye of Chef Paul Mack at

Harrison Conference Center in Plainsboro New Jersey.

Employment History

June 2006 – November 2009

Marketing Associate for Sysco Foods of Central PA

I worked in sales for Sysco Foods. I was one of 10 sales representatives working in the Berks

County area. My customer list included some of the county’s school districts, prison, nursing homes,

as well as locally owned restaurants, diners and bars. My primary job was to meet with my

customers on a weekly basis to take their orders for their weekly inventory of goods. Some of the

other details of my position also included menu analysis, business development and also collections.

I have completed several training seminars in reference to product knowledge, menu development,

safety and sanitation and also prospecting new business.

2002-2006

Body Zone Sports & Fitness, Wyomissing Pa

Director of Food & Beverage at this 160,000 square foot facility. I started with Body

Zone back in stages of the building being built. At the time I was hired as a “sous” chef, hired

to operate their small quick service restaurant. In the past three years I have transformed our

small quick service restaurant to also include some additional features such as a Java Zone

coffee lounge, as well as special event catering. I was responsible for all aspects of the food

service operation for the facility.

2001-2002

Luke’s Coffee House & Eatery, Robesonia Pa

This was a part time position in which I did some baking and prep work. I also assisted the

owner with her daily catering business. This was a very small independently owned restaurant that

was not in a position to hire full time employees.

1999-2001

Lantern Lodge, Myerstown Pa

I worked at this establishment as an AM line cook. I had full responsibilities for executing

breakfast and lunch for this hotel with the help of only one prep person. This job did not offer

any flexibility or benefits.

1998-1999

Princeton University Day Nursery, Princeton NJ

I was the cook who was responsible for the breakfast and lunches that were served in this day

care operation. It was not the normal run of the mill child care center. I had a great reputation

with the school’s board members as well as the parents. I worked at emphasizing that the

children were welcomed into the kitchen to take a part in their meal or snack. It was a great

way to get everyone involved. I had to leave this position due to having to re- locate to Berk’s County

for my husband’s job in Reading

1992-1995

Harrison Conference Center, Plainsboro NJ

325 room hotel where I did my apprenticeship for college. I worked under Executive Chef Paul

Mack, who is now the Director of Food & Beverage. This was by far my most enjoyable working

experience. I was taught quantity as well as quality. I was also taught how to add finesse to food by

adding the element of ultimate presentation. I worked in this kitchen where 40 employees worked,

so if I needed to learn something I had plenty of people to rely on.

Affiliations

Past member of the Central Chef’s Guild of Central New Jersey

Past team member of the Jr. Chef’s Black Box Competition

Presently a registered member of the PA Restaurant Association

I have also done extensive work for the Berk’s Chamber of Commerce

I am also involved in many charity events affiliated with the Reading Police Department
