Duties: - Collect toll from vehicles for passage across the Newburgh-
Beacon Bridge.
-When I was not toll collecting, I was cutting grass, snow
plowing,
-fixing and repairing broken items inside the bridge
building

Duties: Normal Duties of a Police Officer.
In 1984 I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. I was in charge
of doing the department schedule of 15 men, handle public complaints on the
officers, handle possible suicidal persons that wanted to jump off of the
bridge, assist local police department when needed. Assist officers with
serious motor vehicle accidents investigations. Checked and processed
officer's paper work and Uniform Traffic Tickets for Department of Criminal
Justice and the New York State police located in Albany, New York.
Investigated internal problems with Bridge Authority personnel.
In 1991 I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Duties: same duties above along with the following:
Attend monthly meetings with the Director and Bridge Authority Commissions.
In charge of ordering equipment along with patrol vehicles.
On August 15, 1999, received a retirement badge for the Authority and a
position with the authority as the police department was being disbanded by
the Governor.

Position: Senior Toll Collector
Person in Charge: William Sullivan, Bridge Manager
Duties: in charge of 23 Collectors making sure that they are in a neat
appearance at the beginning of their shift. Make sure all starting funds
were counted to the proper amount and accounted for. Made daily bank
deposits after auditing collector reports and collected funds, property
checks, handle accidents and any other situation that may come up during my
shift.
Worked these police department as a part time police officer while working
for the Bridge Authority.

During the time I was working for the New York State Bridge Authority
Police, I took a State Leave of absence and became a New York State
Correction Officer.

Duties: make sure that inmates adhere to the New York State Rules and
Regulations of the facility along with the New York State Penal Law.
Responsible for an hourly head count, daily bed checks and room shake

Bridge Authority.

Duties: I started off as a Boatswain's Mate which is like a maintenance man
in civilian life. I painted, sweep, mopped, dusted, stripped and waxed
floors, fixed and repaired whatever needed to be fixed.
In 1995 I decided to change rate and become an Equipment Operator for the
Navy Seabee's. I was trained and licensed to drive: 15 passenger van, 1
ton pick up, 5 ton emergency military vehicle, 1 ton hmmwv, fork lift - 6-
10 ton, tractor trailer 50 ton,35/45 passenger bus and every six months we
had to be qualified on M16, M9 and M870 shotgun.
I became an instructor and taught everything that was on my license.
In 2001, I changed my rate once again to Master at Arms which is a military
police officer. I had to learn the military laws, (UCMJ) along with the
civilian penal and traffic laws. I also qualified on the M16, M9 and M870
shotgun every six months and still was assigned to a Seabee Unit.

Duties: patrol the floors of Cornwall Hospital and make sure that all
hospital rules and regulations are being followed. Respond to B.H.U. to
assist in controlling or medicating a patient. Sometimes I watch patients
who have suicide ideation, overdose on drugs or are intoxicated or
disorderly. I also have helped the North Campus when they are short handed.
