Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, engages in the discovery,

development, and commercialization of drug candidates for the treatment of diabetes, obesity,

and other diseases.

Senior Analyst, Commercial Effectiveness 2011 - 2011

Worked with business on negotiating vendor service and data license agreements, and support to

the Accelerated Procurement Savings Initiative and helped improve Commercial contracting

processes.

Senior Accountant, Finance 2008 - 2011

Capital and Property Accounting, Fixed Asset Management, Depreciation Analysis, and Property

Tax Analysis and Reporting.

Revamped, implemented, maintained, reconciled and managed all accounting policies and

processes for all corporate asset spending including patents, within the fixed asset module in

E1/JD Edwards and provided optimal capital reporting for end-users and management report.

Created policies and procedures, new asset categorizations, SOX controls, standardized

Senior Accountant/Analyst, Finance 2002 - 2008

Provided financial support to 40+ cost centers within the largest strategic business unit

(Pharmaceutical Operational &Technical), and capital analysis to all West Coast operations.

Capital coordinator for three large construction projects totaling $700+m and managed the

integrity of an additional $600+m in fixed assets located in the West Coast and backup for

global CapEx.

Provided capital analysis, project cash flows, asset utilization, communicated corporate goals

and targets, budget analysis, formalized financial policies and procedures, analyses on

financial results, capital tax audits, capital leases and performed ad hoc reports as required

Prepared and filed annual personal property tax returns, and negotiated base year valuations

assessable cost for a $5+m savings in property taxes annually.

Co-coordinated the merger of Idec Pharmaceuticals fixed asset general ledger balances,

processes and practices with Biogen during the November 2003 merger. Over 100+fixed

asset accounting software platforms and processes changed in less than two months,

including the software conversion from Ross to Oracle which included a new chart of account

hierarchy.
