clinical expertise for staff while supporting professional nursing
practice, Performance reviews, coaching, facilitating, and mentoring. Chart
and performance audits. Interviewing/hiring/corrective action plans in
accordance with HR policy. Knowledge of state, federal and Joint
Commission requirements for quality services within Surgical Services
Departments. Approx 7500-11000 cases per yr.
March 2009~Feb 2011~ Clinical Operations Manager: Lehigh Valley Hospital,
Bethlehem, PA
Duties include directing and managing day to day functions of 8 suite OR.
12 Direct reports and 72 Total FTE's. Approx 11000 cases per yr.
Responsible for cost containment and budget for each department including
negotiating contracts with vendors and physicians to comply with group
buying contracts. Knowledge of state, federal and Joint Commission
requirements for quality services within Surgical Services Departments.
