Borders is the second largest bookstore chain in the United States and an international

bookseller. Role was to administer the shared Integration platform encompassing

various technologies in ETL, EAI and EDI/B2B space. While retaining focus as a lead

Informatica administrator/architect, the role also required simultaneous administration

of various Middleware platforms such as JCAPS, ICAN, CrossWorlds and B2B

National City Corporation, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is one of the nation's

largest financial holding companies providing a full range of banking and financial

services. The project scope involves full time ETL Informatica administration that

includes (on call) level 1 Infrastructure Administration Support. Role was embedded in

National City’s core Center of Excellence that oversees and undertakes various ETL

environment builds, code build, deployment and migrations across the selling divisions

and portfolios. Role was an integral part of Common Services and Enterprise Data

Support.

Proof of Concept Informatica v.8.x parallel upgrade activities

Installed, Configured, upgraded Informatica 8.1.0/8.1.1 32/64 bit on 32/64 bit AIX and

Solaris platforms

Johnson and Johnson is a provider of various pharmaceutical services and is a well

established pioneer in the industry. The project is a liaison between J&J and HCL, which

is an IT based company providing software solutions for various multinational companies.

The scope of the project included Onsite coordination for Data warehousing/ Business

Intelligence sectors of HCL Offshore development Centers (ODC’s) while concurrently

fulfilling the roles of ETL Architect and Informatica Administrator at the Client’s site.

Upgrade and configuration of ETL environment to Informatica 7.1.2 from Informatica

5.1.

Time Warner Cable, Charlotte division is a provider of various telecom, internet and cable

services. The project required the creation of separate Telephony datamart to leverage

billing data from existing ODS stages. The sources were from ICOMS and CSG billing

systems. The datamart was built on Oracle. The installation and configuration of

Informatica 7.1.2 on UNIX platform was successfully implemented.

Installation and configuration of Informatica PowerCenter 7.1.2 Server on UNIX

Creation of Informatica Repository on Oracle platform.

Extensively used Informatica Repository Manager and Informatica Repository Server
