Introduction
I am a construction professional with over 27 years experience in projects
ranging from heavy and light power and industrial. Heavy power and
industrial projects included coal-fired boilers (new and outage work),
Combined and Simple Cycles, AQCS / FGD projects, paper and pulp mills,
chemical facilities, and Waste-Water Treatment, and steel erection. Other
projects included commercial business and multi-family housing, sports
facility, site-work, and fiber-optic installation. My job assignments have
ranged from Site Manager -Construction, Project Construction Manger,
Construction Superintendent, Quality Control, Welding Technician, Contract

construction and start-up of four Combined Cycle
units and associated buildings. Also, conducted the
10-hour OSHA Construction Hazard Awareness Training
for plant operators at this facility. Served as
Environmental Coordinator for the project and associated
fabrication, storage, and equipment yards.
Project Safety Manager (Possum Point Power Station, Dumfries,
VA)
Project Safety Manager (Owner's Rep) during construction and
start-up of two Combined Cycle units and associated buildings.
Conducted 10-hour OSHA Construction Hazard Awareness Training
for Dominion Construction Management personnel. Also, through
various methods, aided several contractors in efforts to reduce
their OSHA Recordable rates for the project. This included Daily
Inspections, Training and Re-Training, Increased Surveillance,
Substance Abuse Testing, and introduction of a "Zero Tolerance"
Safety program. These components were successful in the
reduction and improvement of the site safety programs in-place
before my assignment to the project. Also, participated in the
Qualified Individual (QI) Training for this facility in order to
respond and direct emergency efforts in the event of a chemical
or oil spills.

Site Manager - Construction
Site Manager for construction of two Simple Cycle units and
associated buildings. I was involved in this project from the
beginning, starting with permit acquisition, engineering, and
site development/set-up. My responsibilities included the safe,
quality, and productive construction management of this project.
In addition, I was responsible for request/review/award of
subcontracts to qualified contractors, schedule development and
planning, permit procurement, engineering assistance, review and
prioritization of engineering document release, cost
containment, labor relations, and overall project efficiency. I
was also instrumental in maintaining good public relations with
adjacent landowners. I also directed contractors involved with
the transportation of components (heavy haul) from the rail
siding in Wisconsin to the project site in Illinois, excavation
and site-work, site utilities, and various other contractors.

Project Superintendent
Construction of a four-story brick and
concrete structure housing four electrical transformers. This
substation was located in downtown Chicago, in close proximity
to businesses, public access, and residential areas.

Superintendent
Initially hired to assist with Safety Management
during construction and start-up of two Combined Cycle units.
Shortly after my arrival the need was discovered for my
assistance with Quality Control and Craft Supervision. I was
transferred to the QC department and conducted weld inspections
on components erected during the construction of the HRSG's,
structural steel, pipe hangers, casing, and welding tests. Also,
conducted inspections and witness pneumatic cleaning of piping
for BOP and turbines. As the need for a nightshift
Superintendent was warranted, I then performed those duties, in
addition to Quality / Welding tasks.
