Perform repairs for Signature Technology Group on servers, PC's and Tape
array's for Kodak and Hilton Hotel's in my region.

Supervisor for a landscaping crew where I lead a team to plan and install
retaining walls, plants, trees, and sod. Lead a team to build and install
the first aquaponics green house in eastern Iowa. Installed plumbing,
concrete, plant beds, fish tanks and heating systems. Involved in the
planning and installation of all vegetables being planted, sequence and
timing of plants and fish. Installed all IT systems, monitoring systems,
built Excel spread sheets to track all aspects of the business.

Field Service Engineer GE PACS
Performed server and workstation installation and repairs. Answered
customer questions and responded to help desk tickets. Acted as liaison
between customers and GE service management. Aided customers in trouble
shooting issues and finding solutions. Maintained service logs and contact
with customers until all issues were resolved.
Key Achievements:
. Successfully aided team in setting up and completing site report card to
assist in tracking of hospital equipment, GE compliance requirements,
leasing, contracts, and server end of life. Tracked and pulled data from

Radiology Information Systems Manager 1991 - 2010
Evaluated and wrote Requests For Information (RFIs) for new clinical
systems and oversaw the installation and implementation of servers,
hardware, and interfaces. Gathered information to ensure users'
specifications and clinical needs were documented and expectations were
met. Wrote test and training plans for clinical software and interfaces.
Managed and tested every software and hardware upgrade as required. Worked
with directors and department heads on many LEAN, HIPAA, and QA committees.
Involved in every major building project, renovation, and re-organization
for the hospital in order to ensure proper flow of orders, patients, and
results.
Key Achievements:
. Led successful installation of the fifth Cerner Radnet Radiology
Information System (RIS) in the United States, which reduced turn around
time of receiving orders for radiology exams and delivery of reports.
. Evaluated and planned transition for Iowa Health Systems to Sunquest
Radiology System. The implementation of a statewide RIS with one common
database reduced costs of support, improved communication between sites,
and decreased the implementation time for go-lives.
. Spearheaded installation of new dictation system that was shared with the
medical records department, reducing costs and allowing sharing of
transcriptionists across the state and working from home.
. Assisted in the planning, building, staffing, and set up of outpatient
imaging center.
. Managed the statewide role out of the mammography system, which decreased
costs for each affiliate hospital and provided a common database for all
sites.
. Managed the installation of a voice recognition system and successfully
integrated Agfa Talk Technology to GE Centricity PACS system, which
further reduced report turn around time for radiology results from
between 8 and 24 hours to less than 1 hour. Later, implemented Nuance
RadWhere voice recognition system as a replacement for the Agfa Talk
Technology System, which allowed a significant increase in recognition
rate, user satisfaction, and quality of reports.
. Implement Schedule Maximizer, the first central scheduling system for
Iowa Health systems. Set up new central scheduling department that
allowed for a successful go-live involving 90% of the hospital ancillary
departments on the first day.
. Directed the hospital team for the successful installation of the Lumedx
system in cardiac catheterization lab, cardiac ultrasound, nuclear
cardiology, and vascular ultrasound departments. Project was expanded to
include inventory modules, reporting modules, orders and reports
interfaces, and expanded data extractions, which were all completed on
time and on budget.
. Took on additional role while working as Lead Nuclear Medicine
Technologist.
Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist 1987 - 2005
Oversaw the installation and implementation of the hospital's first SPECT
camera, which was also the fifth in the nation to be installed. Set up
procedure, computer, imaging, and processing protocols. Provided marketing
and education materials to all of the medical staff and community. Handled
all on-call procedures as a one-man department.
Key Achievements:
. Successfully grew department to 2 departments with 3 nuclear cameras and
6 technologists and tripling the number of available imaging procedures
that could be performed.
. Appointed Radiation Safety Officer until 2010, overseeing all aspects of
the radiation safety program including licenses and compliance for Allen
Memorial Hospital Systems and all affiliated clinics.
. Delivered presentations and facilitated discussions concerning radiation
safety with the Allen College Radiography school and area groups.
