09/10 – Present Tristar Risk Management Long Beach, CA

Payroll / HR Administrator

• Payroll: Responsible for analyzing, preparing and processing weekly and bi-weekly multi-state

payroll data using ADP systems to produce accurate and timely payroll for 600 employees in 4

separate company codes. Perform start of new payroll cycles and end of period processes.

Manage data import from HRB to payroll and time and attendance system. Reviews payroll

output and corrects errors and discrepancies to ensure accuracy of payroll. Prepare standard and

ad hoc reports for Management, Accounting Dept. and external agencies. Ensures compliance

with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. Process all regular and temporary new

hires in ADP PayXpert and ezLabor Manager systems. Prepares and process all manual checks

for corrections, terminations, severance, etc. Process garnishments. Maintain PTO reporting.

Responds to all payroll inquiries.

• Human Resources: Position is approximately 25% HR duties. Assists with Human Resources

administrative duties and special projects as assigned. Inputs changes, adds, drops and uploads

data weekly to Fidelity. Process billing for employee benefit premiums and temporary employee

payroll expenses on a weekly and monthly basis. Process employment verifications. Log

COBRA premiums and payments monthly and submits payments to accounting.

08/08 – 09/09 Marina Medical Billing Service Cerritos, CA

Payroll / HR Coordinator

• Payroll: Process, verify and submit semi-monthly US multi-state payroll for 450 employees

using ADP payroll systems. Ensure non-exempt employees maintain meal periods in compliance

with state /federal requirements; process garnishments; calculate and enter supplemental earnings,

monthly bonuses and incentives in payroll pay grids. Calculate and process final checks or other

manual pay adjustments. Maintain payroll records and reports. Manage the relationship with

outside payroll vendor for problem resolution. Responsible for setting up new state tax

jurisdictions. Responsible for monitoring the filing of State and Federal quarterly tax returns by

ADP tax Service.

• HRIS: Responsible for database, enter new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations. Enter

• Payroll systems conversion: Managed activities of a payroll systems conversion - Converted 2

separate subsidiaries from PCPW to Pay eXpert. Transitioned all hourly employees to ezLabor

Manager, a web base Time & Attendance system, thus reducing payroll processing time in half.

Led data mapping activities for payroll and hr related data from multiple sources to achieve a

single database. Supervised training and conversion tasks to ensure accuracy and on-time

implementation. Project successfully completed within timeline established.

03/07 – 12/07 TravCorp USA Anaheim, CA

Payroll Clerk / HR Asst.

Processed semi-monthly US multi-state & Canadian payroll for 150 tour directors. This includes but is

not limited to; entering hours from timesheets into the timeclock software, calculating overtime

supplement, submitting payroll requests for salary and commission. Served as the main point of contact

for all tour directors’ payroll. Maintained and updated current personnel HRIS files for all tour directors.

Assisted payroll administrator in the processing of a semi-monthly payroll through ADP for 500

employees. Assisted in special projects as given by HR Director.

Client Service Representative

Receives and promptly resolves client inquiries concerning payroll, accounting, tax filing and delivery
