Dear Human Resources Manager,
Please find attached my resume in response to your advertisement on craigslist for a part time
clerk position.
Although most of my experience has been in the construction field I have worked in an office all
of my adult working life. Data entry, filing, greeting and directing clients, distributing mail, and
answering a multi line phone system etc. are all tasks I have performed for many years. I am very
proficient using all office equipment and machines. I am also computer literate and have worked
with the internet extensively. I feel this position is well suited to my experience and it is one in
which I could become an asset for many years to come. Please consider my resume and please
call if you have any additional questions. Thank You.
Sincerely,
Roger A. Shively
